Today I caught up with a girlfriend I haven’t seen in 11 years. At 15 years old we proclaimed we would be maths buddies for life....& here we are years later having lunch & wine in NYC 👭❤️ 🍸I’ll treasure today. #uk#nyc#schoolfriends
What is your clothing made out of? 🍌 waste
Who made it? artisan women in #India + a family-owned factory in #NYC
How was it made? ethically + sustainabily
Does it hurt the planet, people or animals? nope, just turning waste into buttery soft clothing 😁 #knowthefacts#askquestions#becurious
We would like to thank @nycmayor for his visit to our center this week.
Cayuga Centers is a voluntary, not-for-profit agency that began as an Upstate NY orphanage in 1852. The entirety of our work has been caring for the most vulnerable children and helping them heal from challenges and the trauma they have experienced. We do this through many avenues, just one of which is our immigrant foster care program. This program provides care and comfort to children in foster home settings.
Our agency provides daily education, medical care and recreation for these children. All of the children we care for have stories that should be told and told accurately. However, the confidentiality of those we serve, along with guidelines from agencies that place children, do not allow us to do so. Cayuga Centers is not a federal agency, nor are we holding children in detention facilities.
