  • Sometimes we let our environment take control of our emotions and when we do, we lose control of ourselves. To be aware, is to know when and how your body acts in certain situations in certain environments. Once you are aware of yourself, you now have the power to choose how you feel and react. Keep this in mind with the fact our lives are ebb and flow from the rhythm of nature, you can have tremendous power over your mind. 🎥 @trewrussellbrand

  • The Keto Diet is HUGE right now. It’s producing great results for those adhering to the program and changing lives...., but did you know that Plexus is helpful even if on this diet? Here’s why ... On a #ketogenic #diet, you are basically cutting out all carbohydrates and sugar. Once your body is in a state of #ketosis, it is then relying on fat for #energy. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, not exactly! If your body is used to high carb intake and you take those away, it’s possible you might experience what is known as the keto flu. 🤢🤮 It subsides, but your body feels achy 😖, and you are #fatigued 💤 and #irritable 😡. So, here’s how Plexus can help: ✅ Plexus Slim: has #chromium which helps normalize blood glucose levels, reducing cravings and providing energy and less irritably as your body enters ketosis. The prebiotic, XOS, feed the butirate that we NATURALLY have in our system to help produce more fatty-chain amino acids. What does this mean for you? Your body goes into fat-burning mode more easily! 🔥💪🏻 AND has only 2️⃣ carbs, so it has negative net carb impact on your Keto day! 👊🏻 ✅ Plexus BioCleanse: contains #magnesium which will help replenish your electrolyte levels, preventing muscle cramps, headaches, and trouble sleeping. 👏🏻 ✅ Plexus ProBio5: balances your gut health. Starting a diet like this can stress your gut leading to either constipation or even upset stomach as you are introducing higher levels of fats to your body. 😱 ✅ VitalBiome: reduces bloating and gut distress, improves #digestion and #regularity, makes you feel calmer, and improves #mood. 🙌🏼 ✅ XFactor Plus: it’s sugar free, which is important on a keto diet!!! It contains Aloe, which increases #absorption up to 300%, allowing your body to really absorb the #vitamins and #minerals. It also has vitamins B and C to help beat tiredness. 👌🏼 Plexus is a TOOL to aid you with overall health! I’ve said it OVER & OVER...Plexus is NOT JUST about weight loss! It’s so much more than that! Get healthy from the inside out! #themoreyouknow #ketodiet #plexus #awellnesssystem #lifechanging #summer #healthy #guthealth #cleanproducts #backtoschool #60daymoneybackgurantee

  • Turmeric has many active ingredients, the most common one being curcumin a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It aids in digestion and minor digestive disturbances and promotes general wellbeing. It helps to increase the flow of bile and bile excretion of the liver. It is no wonder more and more health care professionals are recommending the adding turmeric to your daily supplement intake.

  • V E R N I X C A S E O S A Or just vernix will do 😊 . What is it? It's the white, cheese like 🧀 substance that covers a babies body while in the womb. What does it do? It has a few uses - it acts as a barrier against the amniotic fluid and babies skin. It also has antomicrobial properties which help boost the babies immune system. It helps as a lubricant during delivery and afterwards it makes babies skin super soft. It's a pity it can't be bottled and sold as the best moisturiser in the world! 🌍 The amount usually declines as you get closer to your due date but use every bit of it. You can request that it is not wiped off after birth and instead you can rub it into the skin (and some on your own!). Baths are avoided anyways in the first 24 hours to allow the babies temperature to stabilise and this also helps avoid washing off off this silky moisturiser. Mother nature strikes again amazing me 💕 #todandb #todeliveryandbeyond #vernix #reshare #themoreyouknow #newborn #birth #antenataleducatiom #midwife #midwifelife #mumsofinsta #newmums #momsofinsta 📸: @sacredbirthdoula

  • Blue light blocking glasses 👓 YES it’s a real thing! >>Modern technology is all around us! I like to unwind at night by either reading a book on my iPad or watching a show on Netflix. Little did I know that the artificial blue light these gadgets were emitting would negatively affect my sleep. I kept wondering why it was taking longer and longer to fall asleep. Anyone else relate?? 🙋🏽‍♀️ >>Blue light blocking glasses are most useful at night. Blue light from screens can disrupt natural sleep patterns mainly because it has been proven to disrupt the body’s natural production of melatonin. 💎The main benefits: promote healthy sleep habits • help with tired eyes & strain • prevent redness 🤓I found a fun pair on amazon and I’m loving the results! I wear them 1-2 hours before bed and they have helped me fall asleep. If you’re like me and enjoy unwinding with some screen time, then I suggest you look further into these glasses.🔍 [It’s also definitely something to look into for your child’s developing eyes] #bluelightglasses #protectyoureyes #wellness #themoreyouknow #healthysleephabits #sleep

  • 👩🏻‍⚕️SHIN SPLINT RX👩🏻‍⚕️ Shin splits are annoying🤬 and painful🤕. They can be caused by running🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️, plyometrics, High intensity interval training etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️But what are shin splints?🧐 Shin splits usually occur following repetitive trauma to the connective muscle tissue surrounding the tibia or shinbone.🧐 During the healing process, muscle fibers form scar tissue where the calf muscles adheres to the tibia, causing pain and tightness. 🤔Most commonly caused by jumping into a new routine without preparing your muscles and joints for the added workload. The best treatment? 🧚🏻‍♀️ Take a break from the activity that causes shin pain, ❄ice your leg a couple of times a day to help reduce the inflammation. Foam roll your shins or perform the following exercises regularly to help keep your shins healthy: . . 🧚🏻‍♀️Single leg balance Stand with the weight evenly distributed over forefoot and rear foot. Lift right leg while firmly pressing the big toe into the floor. You can slightly lift or bring your opposite shin all the way u pl yo your chest once you've developed some balance. Hold each side for 30 seconds. . 🧚🏻‍♀️Seated stretch Sit on the floor with both legs extended in front of you. Point your toes forward and towards the floor, together or one leg at a time. Hold each side for 30 seconds. . 🧚🏻‍♀️Calf stretch Stand with heel overhanging off a plate or a step. Lower your heel down feeling the stretch in your calf. Hold each side for 30 seconds. . . . • When you have scoliosis (thankfully mine is pretty mild and I've had it for a few years now), a crazy messed up neck, and you now wear about 20lbs of equipment that is pretty much all on your hips and lower back, you do whatever you can to feel better. That very well may involve hanging from a bar thingy by your chin, standing on a BOSU ball with weights around your neck and a weighted hood around your forehead, laying on a pool noodle, a bone pillow, or some tennis balls. Lol Tonight I'm loving that post workout back and neck stretch/mini massage. Who knew 2 tennis balls in a sock could help so much! #themoreyouknow #scoliosis #copproblems #workout #nowimtired #25goingon80 #refusetostop #blessedbeyondmeasure P.s. all exercises have been recommended to me by my chiropractor. I did not make them up lol

My name is Nicole and I’m a professional photographer based out of Edmonton Alberta 💗 Rather than telling you a bunch of little facts about me I thought I would share facts that would be useful to you! 1. Temporary hair colour will make you feel cooler than you are. 2. If you’re not watching @schittscreek you’re doing life wrong. So good 🙌🏻 3. Plane tickets are typically cheaper if you fly out on a Tuesday. 4. @doscrestaurant has delicious vegetarian options and their atmosphere is dope ⚡️ 5. Your phone will charge faster on airplane mode. 6. @lackofcoloraus makes the best hats. 7. Rolling your clothing instead of folding them will save you way more room in your luggage. 8. The most garbage hour of the day is 3:00pm. This is when your body starts to shut down and wants to nap, yet panic sets in as you’ve realized most of the day is gone. It’s also the precursor to rush hour traffic. Knowing it’s a garbage hour is the first step in avoiding it or planning fun things during it. 9. San Franciso is my favourite place on earth. • One of my most favorite quotes of all time! Recently I decided if I couldn't hear opportunity knocking that I would build my own door. I stepped out of my comfort zone back in June and into something that has pushed me to exceed my limits! There are no limits in this new opportunity 🙌🏻 I’m looking to help 1 more buyer and 1 more seller in October! If you or anyone you know is looking to buy or sell... shoot me a message! @cari.utah.life

  • So you may have heard that eating carbs at night is bad for you and your body may actually think it's taking in more than you are really taking in. . NOT TRUE! . Much like calories food does not increase its macronutrient count by the time of the day you eat it. It does not matter how late you eat what does matter is that you stay within your daily goals. . So the next time someone says don't eat that late at night it's no good for you, challenge them and ask them why. You know the truth now help them to be more educated. . • numerous studies have shown that men tend to score higher than women on narcissism,[56] Machiavellianism,[57][58][59] and psychopathy,[36][37][60][61] although the magnitude of the difference varies across traits and the measurement instruments used. One interesting finding related to narcissism—albeit one based on non-representative samples—is that while men continue to score higher than women, it seems that the gender gap has shrunk considerably when comparing cohort data from 1992 and 2006. More specifically, the aforementioned findings indicate that there has been a general increase in levels of narcissism over time among college students of both sexes, but comparatively, the average level of narcissism in women has increased more than the average level of narcissism in men.[56] There is far less information available on race differences in dark triad traits, and the data that is available is not representative of the population at-large. For instance, a 2008 research study using undergraduates found that Caucasians reported higher levels of narcissism relative to Asians.[62][63] Similarly, another 2008 study using undergraduate participants found that Caucasians tended to score slightly higher than non-Caucasians on Machiavellianism.[58] When attempting to discern whether there are ethnic differences in psychopathy, researchers have addressed the issue using different measurement instruments (e.g., the Self-Report Psychopathy Scale and The Psychopathic Personality Inventory), but no race differences have been found regardless of the measure used.[64][65] Additionally, when comparing Caucasians and African Americans from correctional, substance abuse, and psychiatric samples—groups with typically high prevalence rates of psychopathy—researchers again failed to find any meaningful group differences in psychopathy.[66] In summary, there is some sparse evidence that Caucasians tend to score higher on measures of narcissism and Machiavellianism than other ethnicities. #psychology #themoreyouknow

  • The bittersweet symphony of Down syndrome continued this past month with a battle for extending speech therapy services for our Kado. While he technically qualifies for therapy due to his delay in expressive speech, his receptive language puts him at the cusp of “within normal limits” thus having Regional Center end our contract with our so loved @iceckids therapist, Ms Kendall. Thank you for giving Kaden his VOICE these past few months. His vocabulary has exploded and we will keep up with you in group on Mondays. Here’s to our next adventure with in-home services beginning next week. RCOC wants to see KC “in his natural environment with parent participation” for speech therapy so here go the next 5 months of whatever that entails. Wish us luck! Ms. K- in Kaden’s words, “oh my goodness! I lala you!” #downsyndromeawareness #kadencameron #speechtherapy #t21 #theluckyfew

  • So I suppose it’s my turn for an intro. I’m Kenny, the quiet other half of the Traveling Tavener’s, and here’s a few fun facts to let you know a little about me. I typically drop my daily poo off around 9:30-10:30am. Very consistent. Next, I almost always wear a hat. I think mostly because of convenience but it really makes my hair stylist wife upset. I’m also a Sasquatch fan girl. Lastly I’m pretty introverted and take a good amount of time to open up with anyone. I like one on one conversation but will definitely be the wallflower in a group.
