I’m posting this little corner of Rome but I’m actually waking up from a jet-lagged sleep in San Francisco, where I arrived yesterday and had just enough time to walk briskly up and down a few (massive) hills and take in a sunset before all that lost sleep made me head to bed. I didn’t bring my camera (work trip, not a lot of time to explore), so I’ll probably just keep posting scenes of Rome here while I’m away. After all, it’s Rome where I feel most comfortable now. A city like San Francisco feels very foreign at this point.

Lunch in Italy, and an evening espresso in Switzerland. Can’t complain. Found ourselves back in Italy for dinner.

Lillafüred is one of my favourite places in North-Eastern Hungary with it’s pretty waterfall, lake and Hotel Palota. It’s especially beautiful during autumn and spring if you ask me. 🧡🍂🍁 Tbh, I have never tried these boats...I’m so terrified of falling that I would start to shake. 😂🤷🏻♀️ This odd fear got worse during the last years, so I suppose this will never make it to my bucket list. Do you have any random, weird fears? 👀

Just a quiet leafy corner in Hampstead 🍁 It’s a challenge to take photos while walking my dog. He is super curious about everything and always pulls into different directions. Today he gave me this look saying ‘Ok, I will stand still because I know you have to take a photo here’ 😀 I think we’ve achieved a mutual Insta-understanding 😄 (I took him to Hampstead Heath for a run prior to taking photos so he is a bit more calmed down)
Every single person who knows me a bit... they do know that I have a unique link with Soria... Today, with this view, the landscape has been pretty revealing and this quote made perfect sense: “Don't chase people. Be yourself, do your own thing & work hard. The right people, the ones who really belong in your life, will come to you & stay” 🧡
It's been a heck of a year, hasn't it? I went into 2018 feeling a little stunned and disconnected from what I was truly doing. I became a master of just going about my days as if they flowed together full of non-stop tasks and endless anxiety. It's taken a lot of time for me to get to a point where I feel like I could truly shed the blanket of insecurity that held me captive for so long. Part of it was confronting what didn't serve me and recognizing when aspects of my life had run its course. Many women, especially those in service like me, are fueled by the disease to please because it fills us up when we make others feel accommodated and cared for. So when relationships and connections had to break (and there were several), I felt as though I had truly failed. But now I realize that that was very much a fear-based mentality. As cheesy as it sounds, everything has a lesson and a purpose in the time it's in your life. Whether it's a relationship, a job, a place you're living in, or even a tragedy - all of it is part in shaping you to become the most elevated version of you. I let go of the idea that I was going to be disliked because I finally started to like myself. Who I'm surrounded with now really care and nurture the person I've become and are so happy with where I'm going. I look forward to starting the next chapter of TSC in 2019 with lots of love and confidence in following my own unique path. What are your plans for the new year? Photo by @taylornsouza

“Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.”
- Iain Thomas, I write this for you
UV radiation can damage our eyes just as much as our skin. Therefore, it's important that we wear sunglasses that properly protect against UV radiation and that are big enough to block the sunlight from all angles. If you have contact lenses make sure you ask for UV coating, especially during the summer months 😎👍 #travelhertips#tiptuesday

Live and direct from a houseboat in London...I seriously hate being on video, but I’m doing it for a good cause, so here goes. Please watch and then click on the link in my bio () or search for “Global Girl Project” on indiegogo.com and give whatever you can to support young women who have plans but lack the funds to make lasting changes in the world. #theressomuchtosee
@cmlabe and I did some exploring today. Had a deep dish pizza (thank you @hk_holden), walked along the water and shopped (of course). The people here are SO kind. Must be that mid western charm! Agenda for tomorrow - brunch at Cindy’s, eat one Chicago dog and cocktails ... somewhere. I have a laundry list of things I want to do when I come back.
