  • We are almost halfway through our #TheNewThin 12 week challenge and we have several ladies killing it. Some of the feedback we’ve gotten from the ladies in our group👉👉 “I can’t believe how quickly my body is transforming” “This program has changed the way I look at food” “People are constantly telling me how good I look and asking what I’ve been doing” “I feel the best I have felt in years” “After eating a cleaner diet the bumps on the back of my arms are gone” “My anxiety (I suffer from an anxiety disorder) is at an all time low and that is being said with ZERO [anxiety] medication” 👉👉 These are real quotes from ladies in #ourbalanceinprogress community about The New Thin workout program and nutrition plan. You don’t need a gym membership, fancy equipment, or a lot of time to do this program (workouts are 26 minutes). It can be done from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a set of weights (I use 2 sets👉 8 lbs and 12 lbs), looped resistance bands, a yoga mat, and a bench or sturdy chair (I use my ottoman). These things can all be purchased from @amazon. It’s crazy how much being consistent and lifting can boost your confidence so quickly. I know I always feel like a 10/10 when I’m on track and feel so crappy and sluggish when I’m slacking. At 2.5 miles in it was uncomfortable so I decided to pull back and not push hard. The goal for today was just to finish and be strong for the last tri of the season.   • It’s really easy for me to stay late at work. There’s always something that needs to be done and it seems like this week my to-do list was always a mile long. And today it bit me. I was working late and figured it would be fun since I had an easy 5 on the schedule. I was working at my desk when I heard thunder and checked the forecast to see a storm coming through. I quickly wrapped up what I needed to get done and headed out and on my way for my run. Only to see lightning on my way. So instead of running at the park I usually run at, I made my way on the treadmill. Whomp, whomp. Easy 5 miles on the treadmill and a little bit of core work to wrap up this rainy day. At this point I’m just really looking forward to sunny skies and cooler temps this weekend 😎 Mother Nature, you won this time.

  • Oh Thursday...how I’m so in a love/hate relationship with you. I came home and was so not motivated. I did everything to keep me from this run. I took a shower, ate an Oreo, cleaned the kitchen. Pretty much everything to avoid it. That’s not like me...I love to run. Going a day without is a tough one. I went through all of my running shoes to find a particular pair, my @brooksrunning Hyperion. They are my racing shoes, I have three pairs of this model. They’ve been put away in the back of the closet since my last race. I put my big girl pants on, dusted off my shoes and got my ass out there. Kept a good pace and then boom, my watch died. My fault since it’s been beeping at me the past two days saying low battery. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyways I kept it going for 5 miles. Better than nothing since it took so much for me to go in the first place. So It’s race weekend for me. I haven’t raced since April. I’m scared, but you can’t let your fears keep you from doing something great (or at least trying.)✌🏻P.S.   • 2.2 miles walking this evening bringing us to 3.1 miles total today for #hurricaneflorencerun. It was beautiful outside, feels like fall is coming soon! I’m feeling pretty strong at 3.5 weeks postpartum but I still find myself peeing my pants so there’s that. I think after having two babies in 15 months my pelvic muscles are shot. I’m going to be focusing on strengthening my core muscles before heavily training for anything but I’m excited for what’s ahead. All I know is that having fun during every process is better than waiting in boredom so I make the best of these walks and will make the best of every run once I’m cleared. And best part is I get to share all of my running adventures with these three 🤗

  • A while back I bought a pack of rides at CycleBar and just haven’t made time to go so today as I was running by it I decided today was a good day to get a ride in. I hadn’t been since June and I just ran 3.1 miles there so I had zero expectations of ranking in the top 5. I was just going to “enjoy” it and do the best I can. Well turns out I ranked 1st and felt really strong throughout the whole class. Then on swole legs I had 1.9 miles to run home!   • Ever since I was little I dreamt of being a teacher. I had the perfect little classroom set up in my basement...complete with old teacher manuals + one of those pull down maps. You know what I’m talking about! I absolutely LOVE spending my day with my students and watching them grow! #teacherlife🍎 What I don’t love is all the behind the scenes work + paperwork on paperwork that teachers have to do. With no real recognition for it. That’s where coaching comes in. We are constantly rewarded for the hard work that we put into our businesses + the lives that we change. Today is pay day + tank advancement day and my team and I are feeling beyond spoiled + blessed by our company! Where are my teachers at? THANK YOU for all that you do 💕 #teammindfullyfit

  • Rise and grind babes 💃🏾 I started this week fighting a little cold bug, but woke up after lots of rest and sleep feeling much better today. I went out to try and attempt a track workout yesterday morning, but quickly realized my body was in no shape to push. Instead, I listened to my body finished the lap, and sat down. Yes, sat down. Lol 😂 Although, I felt a bit disappointed to not run a workout I was looking forward to, it’s even more important to listen to my body and recover. ♥️ ~ How fly do I look and feel in @athleta’s Run Free Short + Bra?!
