.... Carving 360 ........
This is one of my favorite maneuvers in surfing and it might be one of the most difficult moves to make on the face of the wave........................
The first key is speed.... you need a lot of speed to carry you through the move because it essentially starts on the bottom turn and continues all the way up the face. You want to stay low and compressed off the bottom, waiting for the moment that you extend your body to hit the lip and get around.......................................
As you get to the top of the wave, getting under your board is crucial and this is the trickiest part of the move........................................
It almost becomes a backside off the lip as you hit the lip and bring your head and shoulders back down the face. If you get this moment right, you’ll find yourself riding out and if you’re just slightly off , you’ll be body surfing down the face..........................................
Go get some carving 3’s 😛

Tight pecs? This is a go-to mobility exercise for me when I’m feeling tight after a pressing workout, or after a long day/week when I’m falling into bad posture 🙁
👉🏻Start by looping a band around a dowel rod or PVC pipe at standing chest height. Or you can do this on a reformer with a tower and mat setup.
👉🏻 From a kneeling position, keep tension in your glutes and abs, sit up tall! Pull the PVC from an extended position into your body with straight arms and palms down.
👉🏻Shave the bar up your back and focus on going as far as you can without losing good posture. Once you’ve hit that point, extend your elbows and you’re right back where you started!
After you’ve done 5-10 that way, flip directions and repeat on both sides for 2-3 rounds!
🤯The addition to turf at our facility, along with a few sliders has open the door to some terrific movement variety for training.
👏Today I experimented with several different core variations that targeted the glutes and hip flexors in different ways. The supine variation to being with was a great way to open the shoulders while working the core and hips. The other prone variations got the hip flexors and hips working on some rotation and flexion.
1. Supinated Parallette Tuck to Shoulder Bridge
2. Slider Mountain Climber
3. Parallette Slider Pike Up
4. Slider Single Leg Breast Stroke Kick
5. Slider Double Leg Breast Stroke Kick

_It is important that you know, that your body and your mind really should work together- they are in the same team!
Diet industry works very hard on splitting your mind and your body. They toxins your mind with things like "eat less", "no fat", "no carbs", "no dinner", "count calories".... and they plant these very loud thoughts in your brain, over and over again. And you follow these things because "they must be right", "they made studies about it"
And on the same time your body whispers : "but, i do know better what good is for me. I know what food, i know on what time and i know how much....please listen to me, it could be so easy. " ❤️
I am grateful for today

Comparison of oral posture improvement over the last 4 months. Last year I worked on body posture, and this year has been focused on resting tongue position.
The tongue should rest firmly against the roof of the mouth. Any deviation from this will affect the form of the face, jaw, teeth, and neck.
At rest, the lips should be sealed, and breathing should occur through the nose. Luckily, I have unintentionally done this my whole life, and this has allowed me to develop all four wisdom teeth in a healthy fashion, though still with minimal crowding on my lower jaw, due to a slightly lower-than-ideal tongue position.
After reinforcing proper swallowing and reminding myself to keep my tongue (especially the back of the tongue) pressed up against my palate, I have achieved noticeably better tone along my lower jaw (bottom photo). #health#posture#orthotropics#oralposture#painfree#alignment#bodyawareness#lifeimprovement#primalposture#shutyourmouth

I think we can all agree, guy or girl, that we can always get a better booty. However, the function of the glutes greatly trumps the aesthetic appeal. 🍑 The glute maximus is the largest muscle in the body. It is responsible for the majority of our explosiveness. Posterior chain compound and isolated lifts, specifically glute work, should be a staple in your training...especially if you’re an athlete, trying to improve your mechanics and/or increase your vertical. Glute medius (activated by lateral walks, hydrants, etc.) helps protect the knees and hips from injury. Glute medius strength helps take the weight off of your knees. It increases your athleticism, balance and overall proprioception (awareness of your body in your environment). I could go on and on about this, but I’ll leave it there for now...Here’s one of my favorite functional super sets for glutes, hamstrings, hip hinge practice, balance and more. The second movement is a hip dip. Sink into your hip like you’re standing with attitude, 😅 then instead of using momentum to stand upright, engage your glute. This is a BURNER as the second exercise of a glute-focused super set. Give it a try and remember to keep your mind in the workout. Focus focus focus #mindandmuslceconnection 💪 ALSO, remember to push through the heels, instead of “pulling” up with the low back. #reynoldsfitness#pushnotpull#bodyawareness#lifttogetlean#saturdaynight#hotdatewiththegym#therapy

😲👀 I really hope that is not your case! .
How many years have we live thinking that pain is normal!😲. .
I think it is not normal ....pain, bloating , lack of sleep .. are a way of your body telling you that something if not right!.
✋🏻 stop, listen to your body and mindfully connect the dots. #selfcareisthebestcare

I cannot begin to explain how life changing this book has been for me. What first started as an interest in healing myself (in a vague and general sense of the term) has now developed into multiple “aha moments” as my girl @oprah likes to call them.
The importance of your childhood, the importance of traumatic events and how you resolved (or didn’t resolve) them, and the connection to your self today.
There is a meaning to your feelings and your actions and with some (sometimes painful) self awareness and communication (and community) you CAN heal. I think the majority of humanity is trying to heal or trying to numb themselves from their issues and that is why we connect so deeply to music, to movies, and to literature. To feel less alone.
This sentence from the book struck me and I had to write some thoughts on it in my phone: “Once you start approaching your body with curiosity rather than with fear, everything shifts.” Does that resonate with you? Do you feel your body or do you ignore you body? .

Life is like a dance... ~
Everything is constantly moving and changing. Nothing is sure. Sometimes it is unclear what the next movement will be. You have to trust that whatever will come, is going to present itself how it is supposed to be. Every step of the way. ~
Can we move along with the changes? Can we surrender to what our bodies are telling us intuitively? Can we dance with the suffering, with the happiness, with everything there is? Can we dance through live? Can we embrace what is, and work with it? In order to become more free, to live more authentic? ~
I am going through a lot of changes right now. Searching how to be myself and get enough income to provide for myself. Letting go of people, stuff and beliefs in order to bring and be myself more deeply. By listening to my body, intuition, signs.. which insights become more clear when I practice more... Easy? No. Scary? Hell yeah! But I'm trying to surrender to it everyday, every step of the way😊 ~
Likely not! Although we as strength and rehab. Professionals might use this term or dynamic instability...I myself have used it. I then put myself in my patients shoes. “Dynamic instability of my spine, OMG😲 !!!” Talk about a path down the road to catastrophizing!
I think what we mean, is that our backs can use some more strength 💪🏻 and control, so why not just say that? Instability 🙅♂️, strength/control 👍. Rant over.
So there are some excellent ways to achieve this whether you subscribe to McGill, DNS, FMA, SFMA, work by Liebenson, the list goes on and on. All these methods are great at promoting strength, control, but also COORDINATION.
Yes we need to be stronger, yes we need more control, BUT also our system needs coordination. Remember, a lot of times we injure ourselves while engaging in UNplanned movements. Maybe our arms or legs are forced away from the center of our body and the inertia or torque exceeds what our spine is prepared for.
Here is drill I incorporate into all my warm-ups as a way to prime the nervous system and prepare the body for increased loads. I simply practice my hinge pattern, grab a light weight, and swing it in a controlled matter away from my core and center of gravity. 💰 TIP💰 : brace your abdominals (or core) as an additional way to increase neural drive. Give this a try, you might be surprised how challenging it becomes. Now that’s some freehab for ya.
You don’t even know how far you can go
You don’t even recognize your potential

We get all hung up on the stories
The comfort zone

Loosing weight is hard

Earning money for what I love isn’t possible
It works for her but not me (Drop the line that plays in your mind and you think you need to believe below)
We LITERALLY stop ourselves before we can even start.
All you gotta do is disengage from the story.
CHOOSE to believe something new
In this moment,
what if you decided that you COULD.
What if the sky was the limit
What if THE thing that could change your entire life was sitting right in front of you.. and all you had to do was see it, pick it up and not doubt it

1410 South Business IH 35 in New Braunfels! Let’s get it! I remember the first time I ever stepped foot in a Dance Fitness class. I. Was. Terrified. I did almost nothing right. I didn’t know any of the moves when it seemed like everyone else did. I didn’t know a single soul in that room. But then I remember how it felt when I remembered the next move, or made that turn, or kicked to the correct beat. It was exciting! I felt tired and exhilarated and good after class. It’s what kept me going back. Like I accomplished something. And I obtained something I hadn’t had a lot of in my life at the time...fun. I had fun! I did something for me. For just an hour, and it made a difference. #selflove#dancefitness#bodyawareness#giveyourselfamoment#dance#hiphopdance#fitfam#thenufitnesshaus#firephoenixfitness#workit#twerkout#danceandtone#tryit
Your body speaks, even when you stay quiet. •
Our bodies are powerful tool of expression that communicate so much more than we are aware of. •
Our bodies were the primary form of communication before we evolved speech. •
Body language is a way that we express how we’re feeling and how we reinforce what we are saying. •
When we feel lethargic we slump. When we are sad we sink the chest and roll the shoulders forward, when we feel nervous or insecure we cross the arms infront of the chest. •
Studies have shown that whilst our bodies unconsciously express our feelings, we can also use purposeful positioning of the body to change the way we feel. •
When we sit up straight our energy and focus improves. When we smile we activate parts of the brain that produce positive feelings. When we stand tall and open the arms we feel more powerful, confident, secure. •
So here is your reminder this weekend: if you find yourself in a bit of a slump, try consciously changing your body language to express how you would like to feel, and see the difference💖🙌💞💥🔥✨🌸💃⚡️ xxx

"We are afraid that our adult sexuality will somehow damage our kids, that it's inappropriate or dangerous. But whom are we protecting? Children who see their primary caregivers at ease expressing their affection (discreetly, within appropriate boundaries) are more likely to embrace sexuality with the healthy combination of respect, responsibility, and curiosity it deserves. By censoring our sexuality, curbing our desires, or renouncing them altogether, we hand our inhibitions intact to the next generation." - #EstherPerel@estherperelofficial

Feet. They carry you, support you, and lead you to amazing places. They keep you connected to the ground, the earth so that you can lift yourself to the center of the galaxy. They let you step outside, even outside your comfort zone taking risks that you might not normally take, and lead you to flight. They steer you in any direction you choose pivoting on a dime when things change. She is quite marvelous - embodied sensuality - voluptuous, curvy, and fully inhabiting her body. sensual. Remember, when a wound is tired of crying, it will start to sing.
تذكر أن الجرح عندما يتعب من البكاء يبدأ في الغناء -Source Unknown
Singing activates the ventral vagal part of the nervous system helping to calm the body and mind down slowly. It can be used as a tool when learning how to regulate the nervous system.
By introducing simple habits and techniques we can learn how to create more resiliency in the nervous system and the body to be able to handle the craziness in this world and find new pathways to change.
