This restaurant is 100% gluten free and peanut free! They also have vegan, vegetarian, paleo and keto options🤩 We ordered the Lolita pizza, grilled cauliflower tacos, the cashew cream mac n cheese with pesto added and a ginger cookie! 🍪They also have the best kombucha here. Even if you don’t have dietary restrictions, this place is highly recommended!

yes, living with IBS and bloating sucks, but do you know what sucks even more? letting it control your life! for so long i let my bloating, food intolerances and other IBS symptoms dictate my social life, wardrobe and overall mental wellbeing. but over the years i’ve learnt that the more i let it do this, the worse i get. i get stressed and upset, which makes me more bloated, which makes me more stressed and upset, continue cycle...
i now understand my triggers fairly well and do everything i can to avoid them, but sometimes my lovely bloat baby still pays me a nice little visit. and what do i do? i don’t punish myself by thinking what i could have possibly eaten, done, or even looked at to make me bloat. instead i give myself the time and patience to get better but also try to remember that bloating does eventually pass and pausing my life/happiness because of it is not going to get me anywhere.

Who says Pizza bases need to be topped with Tomato and Cheese?! Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t turn that down... BUT, I decided to mix it up a lil’ bit and top my @healthyliciousuk Homemade Pizza Base with Avocado (I can tolerate), Chicken and a Homemade Honey and Mustard Drizzle.
Actually really liked the combination!! Would you give it ago? What other combinations would you try?!

GLUTEN FREE FACT OR FAD?
Gluten is a storage protein found in grains which help with rising of food such as bread and holding shape of a food like pasta. Gluten seems to have developed a bad name in the press with 60% of adults having bought gluten free foods. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The link seems to have come from people trying to reduce their carbohydrate intake and choosing to cut out gluten containing foods but they may no have a medical reason to do so.
People with coeliac disease have to cut out gluten as it attacks the small intestine and reduces absorption of nutrients. People with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and non coeliac sensitivity may need to reduce gluten to relieve symptoms such as bloating, wind or pain. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Korean BBQ is healthy AND delicious and one of my favorite comfort foods!! I have been wanted to try @jerseymikes ever since they came out with a GF sub, and this weekend I finally did!🙌🏻 On the way home from my tournament, my dad and I stopped at a Jersey Mike’s and tried the Italian Sub on the @udisglutenfree bread! I was nervous when I first arrived because it was very busy, but they made my sandwich on the other side of the line, cleaned the slicing machine, and used a clean knife.👌🏻 I felt very safe eating it, and I never got sick!! And the hoagie was delicious too - I haven’t had one in four years🤩🤩 I would definitely recommend giving Jersey Mike’s a shot if there is one near you!👍🏻
Soup is easy to make #glutenfree but there are a few things to watch out for! I usually steer clear of soup at restaurants unless I have talked to the Chef personally and know that they understand what to look for or it’s a dedicated facility! Chicken stock, chicken broth, bone broth, bouillon it all can and often does contain gluten. Most people do not realize this. You can make your own which is the best or there are some great #glutenfreebrands for each of these! Miso soup, egg drop and other Asian soups have soy sauce in them or can. And unless it’s #glutenfreesoysauce it’s not worth the risk of chancing it. Many soups also come with bread or sometimes are thickened with flour. So your best bet is to make your favorite at home. #swipe for two of my favorite soup recipes! The first one Poor Mans Stew can be made a ton of ways and I love making different variations with different meats and or veggies. Noticing how much better I feel since cutting gluten out in such a short space of time has absolutely bowled me over!! If someone had told me how different I’d feel mentally I’d honestly never have believed them! How much more energy I have, the no headaches or constant hangover feeling daily, the pressure in my face, blocked sinuses, and feeling as though I’m carrying bricks about on my head, had such itchy eyes and blocked nose all the time. I can think straight, it’s not difficult to think what I just did or what I need to do, feel sharp as a tack and my memory has improved, I’m not frustrated, stressed or angry, I feel HAPPY for a change and don’t want to just lie in bed or sleep all day, I feel like bouncing around now....and that’s only in a couple of weeks. Who would have thought something so simple can be so life changing. I just can’t wait to see how I feel in a few months time, or in a year!! Genuinely feel this has changed my life and I’m so excited for the future now. I think back to how I used to feel and it was so horrendous. I honestly feel like I’ve broke free from chains or something because it’s like night and day how I feel now to what I used to be like.
