  • Memories of autumn embedded in cloth. 🌿 Spring is arriving in the Blue Mountains and leaves are beginning to grow on trees. But it will still be a while before they are ready to eco-print with. First they need to build up enough tannins to actually dye strong colours. Luckily I still have plenty of lovely autumn leaves soaking, ready to use. And there are rose, blackberry and pelargonium leaves in my garden which keep growing over our mild winter, as well as all our wonderful evergreen Australian plants like eucalyptus and tea tree. I really feel for eco-printers who get heavy snow falls which disrupt their practise all winter 🙈 🌿 If you have bought my Leaf Guide eco-printing ebook, you might recognise this piece of fabric. I took this video months ago but only just rediscovered it and thought you would all like to see. 🌿
