one year ago, @lifeoverstuff passed me her camera on a bridge in Budapest and started teaching me about exposure. since then I’ve done my best to be a sponge and soak in everything I can to cultivate this newfound passion. here’s to another year of improvement with the best teacher I could ask for
Between all this fashion a photo of #singapore. Didn't post any pic yet of singapore.. As pink is the new fashion color (I see it everywhere at the fashionweeks) I tought this pic is appropriate!
Most times, the less instagrammable the meal is, the more tasty it is. Do you agree? ?
Carrot cake in Singapore is quite different from the western dessert.⠀
There really isn’t any carrot in this carrot cake at all! Radish cake (rice flour, water and shredded radish) is one of the main ingredients in this dish, and the Chinese name for radish translates directly as white carrot, hence the name. .
A common local dish of Chinese origin, this dish combines radish cake cubes fried with eggs, preserved turnip and garlic. ⠀
There are two variations of this dish; the black/ dark and the white version. ⠀
While the white version is a savory dish with the eggs fried til crisp, the black/dark version features a sweet dark soy sauce with eggs mixed in. ⠀

Gaya Island Resort in Sabah, Malaysia
Borneo is so much larger than I expected it to be. It's the third largest island in the world and is estimated to be home to over 200 mammals, of which 44 of them are not found anywhere else in the world. I am staying at @gayaislandresort surrounded by only the crystal blue ocean and pitch dark jungle. On this beautiful tropical island, I never in my wildest fantasy imagined being this close to so many wild animals. They even have Proboscis monkeys here ( the ones with the funny noses) a very rich snake life (have already encountered one of them 😅) wild pigs and so many more species. This is one of the private beaches .

Melaka Straits Mosque - MALAYSIA. They call it the "floating Mosque" as it appears to float when water levels are high. First ever Mosque that I've visited! The women have to rent covers to walk around in and I think Hamid snapped a dozen photos of me out of humour (and excitement) 😝
