  • “Genetics” 😉 #TransformationTuesday ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ We all are born and grow up under different conditions ☝️ these conditions and our family’s habits have us coming out of childhood overweight, shredded, or skinny 🤷‍♀️ this is kind of out of our control and due to years of calorie surplus and inactivity/video games 🎮 (AKA me), a healthier intake and sports, and/or a lot of inactivity and low calories 🙌 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ We all have different starting points, BUT we can ALL make PROGRESS from where we start 📈 and this will require taking responsibility for your body and knowing YOU can make a change 💪 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ I grew up playing sports, a lot of video games, eating Wendy’s chicken nuggets weekly, and not socializing much (due to a lack of self confidence ☝️) and ended up pretty hefty coming out of middle school 👀 but after finally taking action and committing to making a CHANGE, because I didn’t like where things were going, I saw a CHANGE with my body 👍 which lead to a change mentally 🤓 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Don’t allow yourself to play the victim card and sell yourself short on what you’re capable of ☝️ YOU can be fit if you can COMMIT 🤗 look at the food choices you’re making, can you say that your caloric intake is reasonable?   • Squats🍑 a little bit of extra booty work this weekend. I did 4 sets, 15 reps each exercise. - I get asked often how to build glutes without building quads. You can keep the focus primarily on glutes/hamstrings in exercises like this by: ✖️Adjusting foot position. I am using a sumo stance in both (feet outside shoulder width; toes point out) ✖️Pushing through heels. Both of these exercises allow me to sit back into the movement and push through my hamstrings/glutes. 👉🏼If you don’t have these machines replace with smith machine squat and cable squat. I’m a home workout kinda gal 😉 • Stoked about my new equipment! A bar + 200lbs (or so, I need to recount) in weight for....$65 😲 No. it’s not like those sweet @roguefitness plates, but it works, and it was a steal! Our Caring Center is like a Salvation Army. I stopped by there to find stuff for Allys Halloween costume. I love perusing the isles to see what others get rid of 😊 Ive been wanting a bar & plates FOREVER, but I am too cheap to pay full price 😂 They had the bar & 100lbs of weights for $50! Couldn’t have been more excited! • I had to go to Goodwill in the town next to us, and guess what I found? A ton more weights that fit my bar! The 8s, 10s, 15s, & 20s were $6 each! And guess what! They were marked with red tags, and not only was it red tag sale day, It was 75% off all red tagged items! Each plate ended up being $1.50! • No shame in my resale shopping game. I can’t stand people who turn up their noses to resale items. If this is you, sorry....😂obviously, there are boundaries 😂😂 • With the exception of the medicine balls and MMA gear, everything has been found at yard sales or resale shops! A lot of them were brand new, still with tags on them! Jayson had the 50lb & 20lb dumbbells when I moved in.   • Ran in my first half marathon this weekend!!! I used to HATE running, but this past summer I chose to do something different. Push past the fear, and just do it. I heard a quote during my hot yoga class 2 days prior to the race. For whatever reason, the quote popped into my head around mile 9-10... “Drop fear, just love.” I have no idea why it came back to me right at that very moment, but I just smiled remembering the quote and felt graced with the random coincidence that it would help me push onward. The next 2-3 miles were my fastest ones the whole race. I felt unstoppable, strong, happy, confident, grateful, and at peace. It was such an awesome moment I will never forget. I really never ever thought I would run this kind of race, but I love pushing myself to different limits and always keep my body guessing what I’m going to do next.
