So if there is a muscle I would advice you never to neglect, thatโ€™s your core. Even to this day I make sure at least once a week to dedicate a good 15-30 minutes to my core like I did today ๐Ÿ˜Š . . Here a 7 of my favorite core exercises. Why? I was tuning in and doing smaller movements to engage my outer hips before I settled into the stretch. Knowing that all of my limbs and joints are supported always makes for a sweeter stretch ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

  • When you think about your health goals, what steps are you taking to achieve them? Thinking long term has helped me achieve my goals. Thinking about the โ€œwhyโ€ I want to exercise. The โ€œwhyโ€ I want to develop healthy habits. I think my main goal was to look good. You know? Have those abs, perky butt and toned arms. Then I thought about the food I HAVE to eat in order to look that certain way. I thought about the cardio I HAVE to do to look that way. โ€” But now.... I think long term. Rather than having a certain physical state Iโ€™d like to achieve, I changed my perspective. I want to be strong enough so I could carry my own suitcase up and down the stairs or the overhead bin. I want to be strong enough so I can help my mom bring in a case of Kirkland water bottles. I want to be fit so Iโ€™m not out of breath taking 3 flights of stairs when the elevator is broken. I want to be healthy so when I get older, I wonโ€™t have to cringe when my doctor tells me to eat more veggies, drink water, and exercise. Thinking long term has changed my perspective on health for the better. โ€” Iโ€™ve been exercising consistently since 2012. I remember I couldnโ€™t even do 30 lbs rope tricep extensions without a spot. @jhwa.fit and @rrronson would spot me all the time and that was always discouraging because it was such light weight. But you have to start somewhere. Stay positive. Give yourself credit. Think long term. And show up. Remember #progresnotperfection.

  • Most common mistake a competitor does is neglecting therapy during heir offseason. I have done this myself. During prep I would get about more than 3-4 therapy sessions/week then completely neglect it during offseason. Post show therapy benefits: - Reduction of excess superficial and deep tissue toxins. - reduced inflammation. - ensures proper positioning of vital organs. - increased performance. -increased flexibility - tissue regeneration And list goes on. I have recently started working with @1coachmanny and have seen tremendous results so far. He is been helping me to recover from my post show injuries and making the best out of my offseason. Canโ€™t wait to see the improvement I make with help of @1coachmanny brutal therapy sessions.
