  • If you don't want to read a miracle, disregard this post. If you do... Let me tell you.✨🌟 . . It was a normal Sunday with my normal Sunday activities of rest, church, rest, family dinner, rest and ended with some more rest. While at church, I felt a pain shoot into the back of my knee, almost like I tore something, possibly a torn hamstring. . . It was painful to walk. I got scared. I was afraid I might not be able to run the marathon or possibly something worse. I took it easy the rest of the day and iced my leg. This time the ice was different. It was colder than I was conditioned. I took the ice off and there was a blister on my leg (aka frost bite). Now I was even more scared and less confident in my ability to run the St George Marathon, which I have been training all year for. . . I decided to calm down and just say some prayers. 🙏 I immediately received confidence and assurance everything would be fine and that there would be no permanent damage to my leg. I still had a hard time walking, but I was not as fearful. . . The next day I went to the doctor. He assured me that nothing was torn. The physical therapist gave me some stretches/ exercises which instant relieved the pain. He told me to stay active and to continue my training. As for the frost bite, to put lotion on it and it should recover. #miracle . . Be safe and happy training y'all!!🤙 #runmilesrun Tip of the day: Don't ice directly on the skin😉 . Workout Easy pace 45 min 7:25 average pace 6.27 miles

  • Today was tough. The wind was blowing and the rain was squally and cold. And to be honest my heart really wasn’t in it at all. But I knew that I had the chance and would regret it if I didn’t get out. So I planned some run play - to hit MP on alternate kms, add in some hills to replicate the start of the Auckland marathon and to finish strong. Which I did 🙌🏼 and no regrets...

  • Happy Tuesday! Today I shared in my stories that I feel as I’ve reached a new breakthrough in regard to food & eating-here’s a square sized glimpse. My relationship with food story is really long. I’ve touched on it here & there- obese child/teen-> eating disorder-> many different forms of controlled eating-> spending years finding a good place. 😌 . These two quotes from @runwhole.nutrition smacked me in the face: . 1️⃣ Eating disorder recovery...is about freeing up your brain space so that you can fill it with new life-giving things. It’s about cultivating a meaningful life outside of the micromanagement of food. . 2️⃣ You are here for so much more than a life full of chronic dieting. . There are many tools to help people with their health & fitness journeys. The ability to look at a tool and say ‘you’re no longer working for me’ is an important one. Needless to say, I had to put a lot of tools away that were no longer serving me. 🔨 . My body can run a marathon. My body is strong. My body grew two humans. And I am more than just my body. I’m working on filling my brain space with life giving things & I’m filling my time with all the things that light me up. 💃🏽 . . Today’s WO: 7x 800 at 10k, 8 miles total . . #jessrunsok #ihavearunnersbody

💜💛 . . O espaço do Container foi todo renovado. Ficou maior e mais lindo!!! . . Já é um sucessooo!!! 🙌🏼 @lucienelorentz @recantodoacaioficial_ #acai

Funny story, I thought the race ended after full on sprinting these bases but there was actually .2 left to run. Rookie mistake I made 2 years in a row!😂 #racepics #brewerminimarathon

Uma boa noite _ 🇬🇧 Another 8km from the training plan! Today was all about being relaxed and not going all out since tomorrow morning I'll be giving blood, that also means that tomorrow is rest day again 😆 A good night!

  • Hit a track workout today for the first time in a long time. Pretty windy day, but was able to find my rhythm and felt good! Got in a longer 6 mile cooldown for 14 total on the day. Decided to keep the actual workout shorter because I have something longer planned for Thursday’s workout⛰ go crush your workouts everyone!

  • still shaken up a little. went for a group run with a new group. got separated from the pack and got sexually harassed in the worst possible way. thankful for the really kind people who helped me out but overall feeling a little uncomfortable and embarrassed for having a ptsd flashback. I know logically my feelings are valid but it’s always a little embarrassing to feel so exposed in front of strangers. supposed to do 4x6 min hard, only managed 3 cause I was traumatized and didn’t want to go back into the park :/ inconsistent pacing but I’m only 9 days out from a marathon: 7:42, 8:08; 8:04 plus strides at 6:42. No photo, too much on my mind 😭

  • Atleta: Voce sabe quem é Mo Farah?

(Sing to the smurf tune) This was Day 4 of 5k a day for a week. I’m having so much fun just being out and running. This little tail bone injury is really bringing me back to falling in love with running. My favorite part is about a mile in when my glutes remember how to engage and suddenly I have so much power in my stride. Thanks @saucony - I love my shoes. Sincerely, Danielle the Colo-Radden
