Leading up to Halloween I am going through my old photos to bring you some of the most interesting creepy places I have ever visited .. First up - Beechworth Asylum, also known in later years as the Beechworth Hospital for the Insane and Mayday Hills Mental Hospital, is a decommissioned hospital located in Beechworth, a town of Victoria, Australia
I went here roughly 4 years ago now , explored during the day and then came back at night for the Ghost tour .. the Ghost tour I took , doesn't exist any more but I do hear another mob has taken over .. We had a few things happen during the ghost tour but they could be dismissed as not being spirit related .. We do have 1 story , noises where coming from the old male ward , then this huge bang and then again, everybody in the tour group ran like crazy ,except my hubby and myself we wanted to know what was going on.. When the tour group ran , they went crazy to the point they knocked me to the ground with my camera ..
After I got up hubby and myself went over to the where the noises were coming from and low and behold no ghost but a naughty possum playing around ..lol
Love the history of this place and the old architecture . I must head back one day soon and check it out again , plus the town of Beechworth has so much to offer holiday makers ..

I've spent a fair bit of time looking through my images from our road trip a few months ago. This image, and others from this morning, were my favourite and I've edited, then put then away only to try again with another edit. I reached out to some mentors and had it critiqued.
But in the end, I've decided I like it. And that's all that matters. 👍🏻
Just a hint of reflection down in the gorge in the early morning light. The sheer size of these gorges just blows my mind every time I see them.
