Where do you see yourself in 1 year from now?🤔
I think it’s so crazy to think about how much has changed in the past year.. and it is so exciting to think about how every year I say that.. and it just keeps getting better and better.
The scariest thing for me.. is having another year roll on, and feel as if I haven’t truly grown or achieved the things I set out to do.
This is why growth is an important aspect of my life. If I focus on even 1% growth every day.. in the littlest of ways- a year goes by and I’m 365 days better than I was before.
Something that helps me continue to progress and make things happen in my life is literally visualizing, and setting deep intentions for what I want to achieve, and how I want to show up for myself.
So this is your wake up call if you are sitting there like “shit 2018 is almost over?? What have I even done?”
...... you are in control of your life and your future. If there is something you want to do my friend? Freaking DO IT.
No more settling. Step into your greatness and strive for growth every damn day 🙌🏼

Feeling guilt for everything "unhealthy" you eat is not a path to success. It not only puts you in a bad mindset but it makes you more prone to stray from your plan in the future. *
It's okay to enjoy food believe it or not. *
Thinking of meals as "cheats" only make them more alluring next time. Just think of it as eating food. The majority of the time you want to stick to nutrient-dense food like fruits, vegetables, and lean protein. But allow yourself to stray a little bit.
One unhealthy meal doesn't make you fat just like one healthy meal doesn't make you lean.
Flexibility is the key to any plan. You have to be able to adjust to what's in front of you. The more strict the rules you follow, the more likely you'll be unhappy and unhealthy at the same time. *
Don't try to out-train your diet either. Just because you have a cookie doesn't mean you have to "punish" yourself with a workout. Again, a bad mindset to have.
Keep yourself on the path to your goals!

Was so tempted to not go to the gym today. It kind of feels like Christmas is only around the corner making it really tempting to just take the foot off the pedal between now and then. But I went and I feel better already 🙌🏼 Here’s to a healthy week ahead!💕
Practical nutrition tips: let's remind ourselves of the satiety index: 📝👨🍳
This essentially ranks foods based on how 'filling' they are to consume. So if a food scores highly on the index it's likely much harder to eat in large quantities. Equally, if it's scores low, it's likely very easy to overconsume. 😬
Why does this matter? Matching foods on the satiety index to your goals is a surefire way to reach them in a more efficient manner. 🎯
If you're trying to gain weight, eating tonnes of leafy vegetables (although healthy) probably isn't going to cut it. 🥗
On the other hand, when aiming for weight loss - spoonfuls of peanut butter is a dangerous game to play - it just ain't that filling! 🍯
EXAMPLE: I'm aiming to stay lean right now, therefore steak, potatoes and greens are great options. Not only do they score highly on the index, they support my macro/micronutrient goals. This meal was filling, delicious and allows for greater sustainability throughout the rest of my diet.

Went for a super quick run tonight after work and just had an M&S chicken Katsu for tea, with added broccoli 😋 so yum! (402 cals) I wanted allllll the bad foods today but I’ve had a successful day on plan after a few not great days! 😋
🌱It’s all about balance 🌾
Eating doesn’t have to be complicated. Some days I’ll have meals like this - protein, fats, carbs, veggies; 🍔 🍟 other days I’ll have a nice juicy burger with sweet potato fries.
🥗Key is to eat healthy 80% of the time, so you can do whatever you want with the other 20%. 🍒Keep portions small, limit unneeded extra calories (sauces, high calorie drinks, snacks or sweets), and load up on dark green veggies.
