ROPE PULL DOWN: When my time is limited and I need to stretch, I like to combine it with another exercise. Here, I'm stretching my hips, and elongating my spine with every arm reach and pull down. The core and the back work is the bonus ⚡️⚡️(Hit 5 sets of 1 minute, 30-sec rest!)

When I was personal training a lot, the most frequent question I’d get was, “I really want to lose the fat right here! Oh, and my under arms. I want to lose the fight right there, too.”
The most frequent thing I’d see, besides bad form, was overweight people bouncing from floor to machine, doing one crunch/sit-up variation after another. .
BOTH of these groups of people were being driven, and fooled, by this belief that we can perform certain exercises to reduce fat from a specific area on the body.
Fact of the matter is, we all have areas of the body that are biased to store fat more easily than others. We have no control over this and while it sucks, that’s genetics! .
On top of this, men and women have their own ‘stubborn areas’. For men it tends to be the stomach and low back, while for women it tends to be the hips, thighs, and arms.
WHY IS THIS THE CASE AND WHY IS THE FAT IN THESE AREAS THE HARDEST TO GET RID OF ⁉️
Our bodies fat cells have two kinds of receptors:
1️⃣ Alpha-2 Receptors (AKA ‘Bad’/‘Stubborn’ Receptors)
2️⃣ Beta-2 Receptors (AKA ‘Good’/‘Helpful’ Receptors)
🤷🏻♀️Guess where you have more of the ‘bad/stubborn’ fat receptors, ladies? You got it! Hips, thighs, and arms!

The only way to reduce fat in a particular area of the body is to CONSISTENTLY combine being in a caloric deficit with an exercise regimen (ideally one that is centered around resistance training vs cardio), to cause overall weight & body fat loss.
Quit looking for the quick fix or magic product. This 💩’s not going to happen in 30 days! •

I didn’t even realize I did this until today, and I do it quite a lot lol✨ @justinleibow1 and I are slowly working our way back into the grind, this week has been STRESSFUL, and I know it’s been that way for a lot of people!! Keep breathing and MAKE time for yourself, whether that be a nap, meditation, eating ice cream, or working out, releasing stress and getting some fresh air can work wonders🤩🤩 I’m on a new treatment plan for my IBD which I will be talking more about in another post!
