This is a 4 year difference, but i really didn’t start a consistent workout routine til about 3 years ago(ish)!
I just want to clarify that my goal has never been to “be the skinniest” or “have the most muscle”. It’s just been to find a healthy lifestyle that i enjoy and that’s attainable while putting my health first!
Once i viewed the gym as a positive, everything changed. Once i viewed food as a positive, everything changed.
And no.. i haven’t given up my favorite foods! i still eat ice cream, pizza, etc. just not everyday! I had to teach myself to eat those things in moderation, but still allow your body its cravings or else your diet won’t be sustainable!
Food & the gym is NOT the enemy! Finding a healthy lifestyle that is attainable for YOU is whats important. Making your health & happiness a priority is what i tell everyone! It’s worth the investment & time, i promise!
Being CONSISTENT with eating whole, nutritious foods and a workout routine you enjoy will bring results. Unfortunately results don’t happen overnight, but that doesn’t mean you give up. That means you keep going until you hit your goals and then create new ones!

Went to war with a set of stairs today. Good thing I brought a weapon along with me, and no I’m not talking about @art_green aka the man-mountain aka the big friendly giant. I’m talking about the 20kg chunk of iron in his hand. Plus he’s not as big as he looks. He’s just massively out-angling me in this photo. Typical Beta move 🙄 This was a brutal partner workout. 11 sets seemed like a good idea at the time. It turns out it was. I’m still riding the high! 💪🏼😅

I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about how I train my abs, and to be honest guys that is the one muscle group I neglect a lot 😅
BUT I will say, I use my core with almost everything I do in the gym and I think that’s the trick 👏🏻 When doing compound movements like squats and dead lifts I always make sure to use my core and I have seriously noticed the biggest improvement from doing just that 🙌🏻
When I do specifically train abs I like to do quick and efficient circuits to get a solid burn! Here is one of my go to ab burner circuits:
🔥20 weighted lying knee to chest crunches (not sure the actual name, but looks like how it sounds. I hold a dumbbell and as I bring my knees to my chest I lift my shoulders off the floor and crunch)
🔥20 leg raises with a hip raise 🔥30 bicycle crunches (15 each side) 🔥20 weighted alternating oblique twists
Repeat 3-4 times —> little rest in between

PMS is a bitch. I woke up feeling shitty about my body, even shed a few tears thinking about how much“beautiful” I would be without my tummy/back fat and my stretch marks. I had to take a second to breathe and write down a few things I like about myself that have nothing to do with my appearance and it really helped. I always turn to a good workout to help relieve stress and anxiety and I was really excited because The CARTERS new song APESHIT is suuuch a workout bop and It got me hyped this morning! I’ve been making up my own intense full body routines and they leave me so sore the next morning! Also realizing there’s nothing wrong with selfies w no makeup and unlaid edges LOL. Today in 20 minutes I fired off my legs, HIIT it and nailed core. I'm a shake, panting, dropping sweat mess.
I will change my body, I will do this because I want to, and I can.

Week 2 Day 4:
No #sweatieselfie today. Instead . . .here is an empty squat rack. No, I didn't #curlinthesquatrack . . . I actually did squat. To be honest I have avoided doing any serious lifting in this thing since I herniated a disc in my lower back in my late 20's. Today wasn't epic, bit I overcame a fear that I didn't really know I had.
Three supersets of Legs at 3x10. Last set of squat was at 225lbs. Wasn't much of a challenge for my quads, but definitely challenged my core and my head. Glad to be back in the squat rack.
No #HIIT today because I wrecked myself just doing legs for 45 minutes.

1. Base foot turns out
2. Hips open & knee comes up (the chamber)
3. Strike with shin & instep
4. Recoil the kick
5. Plant foot & resume your stance
