7월부터 누적 411k를 뛰고 도전!.
발목 인대 끊어진 부상 후 펀러너가 된 내게 111k는 큰 도전였다. 수술 두려움으로 그동안 무리해서 뛰지 않았다. 그래서 러닝 실력도 예전만큼 늘지 않았을수도💦 허나 한라산의 멋진 풍경에 매료되어 힘들어도 dnf없이 참고 뛰었다! 수많은 현무암 돌길에 발목이 빈번히 꺾이고 삐끗했지만 곤텍스의 위력인지 부상없이 완주했다. 곤텍스는 정말 최고!! 완주 후 자신감이 생겼다! 앞으로 좀더 힘들게 훈련해서 로드든 트레일이든 기록을 내야겠다! 👍🏻.

Today is for you Matt Wion. Since I can remember I have hated running. I have said “I am not a runner” so many times that it became my reality. I started running with you as part of your recovery from the accident. To help you find the strength to do things you loved again. We found ourselves running consistently and adding miles each week which I know helped you feel strong again. With each run I could see the positive and confident Peoples Champ returning. It wasn’t until I found a purpose to run that I found my feet moving with grace and my mind grounded. I began running for something greater than myself. Although it started for you, I had to find the strength within myself to finish. A mental toughness different than the challenges life has thrown our way. Matt, I am grateful for every mile I spend with you, and with each step, for just a moment, life feels normal. Today I say with confidence, “I am a runner.”

Went a new direction on my run today on a path that I assumed was a paved bike path. I was treated to an amazing dirt road through some spectacular neighborhoods. This is a repeat for sure. 12 miles in the bank for #archesultra#teamrun4prs
Recapping in yesterday’s race. It was my first Half Marathon! I was scared, nervous and had no clue how this was going to go. It has been a long bumpy and winding road. I know I put in the time and the effort and with that came a lot of ups and a lot of downs. My hamstrings were not doing well for my last two races. I though I was food after the 10k , completed a long run and a few short ones. They decided to protest Wednesday before the race. I went into tread and rear mode til that morning. No clue what was to come! So I warmed up still leery as I wasn’t feeling 100%! I battled with myself and decided it is what it is and to give it what I had. So I put one foot in front of the other and took it turn by turn, mile by mile! I fought myself the whole way , which made it go by fast! Before I knew it I had 2 miles to go and a nasty headwind! I just kept going. I knew then I was going to make it! I was super happy with that. Was even more ecstatic of my time and hat I was still standing and feeling good. I made it ! Now to rest and work on my weaknesses over the winter.
Wir haben heute dieses traumhafte Wetter nochmals für eine längere Radtour draußen genutzt 🚴🏽♀️🍁🍂 der Herbst zeigt sich ja von seiner besten Seite, obwohl es schon sehr zapfig war die ersten 30km ❄️. Natürlich durfte der Kaffee und Kuchen Stopp nicht fehlen ☝🏼🍰. knapp über 100km hatten wir am Ende auf der Uhr. Damit ich das Wetter nochmal voll auskoste, gab es danach noch einen zügigen Koppellauf. 🏃🏽♀️ Ein Sonntag ganz nach meinem Geschmack🙃.
