What’s a lady to do but sit around in all her cute athletic wear when she doesn’t get the news she wanted from her foot Dr. 🤷♀️😁 My MRI showed some tendinitis so it sounds like I’m done running for a few more months 😭 Thank goodness I anticipated some of this coming and did not sign up for any more races for a little while. I can no longer do ANY cardio AT ALL and I’m limited to just upper body work ONLY now. Not being able do any cardio is going to be the hardest for me to deal with!! So abs and arms of steel here I come! 💪😁 It’s up in the air right now how I will be hiking in the Zion’s in 3 weeks. Doc told me he wants me to use crutches for that 😳 #saywhat He actually thought about putting me on them full time for a little while. I think he’s gotten to know my personality REAL quick an how I like to test my limits 😂 He also commented that he’d love to harness in all my energy if he could 😂 So there’s a custom TRO brace, some PT, and orthotics in my near future. I gave my husband the whole “brace yourself winter is coming” talk about how much all this is going to cost. I don’t think he blinked for 20 minutes 😂😂So I hope you all don’t mind lots of throw back pics coming up because I’m not a fan of the gym selfie yet. Lol. I was hoping to run 2 shorter races in December....we’ll see what happens with that 😁 Forever an optimists!! More importantly he knows Marathon training starts for me at the beginning of the year for the L.A. Marathon and he’s optimistic that’s not going to be a problem. So there’s a light at the end of the tunnel 🌈🦄 It’s just a longer tunnel than I was expecting 😁 #igotthis 💪 #injuredrunner#runnergirl

Finish Line Friday...it's been A.WEEK!! In so many ways but we've made it to Friday and all eyes on the prize. 💖🤯💖
Our local trail has been flooded for most of the week and today when I saw the “trail closed” signs were gone I got WAYYYY too excited! 🙌
6 easy miles this morning with lots of stops because there was mud everywhere! I did not want to slip and injure myself so took it easy!
It was so worth the stops to be able to get outdoors today though! I’ve seen a little too much of the treadmill this week 😁
Enjoying the little things today ♥️
Nothing like a little run to get energized for a busy night ahead.
I promise if you stay consistent and stick to running, then you will actually start to ENJOY it #endorphins#beststressreliever
Trust me, I was the girl in HS that quit track after two weeks.... yet here we are 🙌🏼
I hated running too, but it CAN change.
Nothing a little of determination and persistence can’t fix 😏

20 min recovery run today. Still with some shin and calf soreness, will more than likely foam roll tonight to be fresh for my Saturday long run 😌

Three half marathon pace miles smooshed between a warm up and a cool down. I don’t really have a goal pace right now, other than to run, so I’ve been adjusting to how I (more importantly how my shoulder) feels. And honestly I’m just loving setting these small goals for myself each day. This felt hard enough, but not too much.
Aiming for 5 run days this week, and adding in some cross training next week. I’m cleared to go back to lifting weights as of the 27th 🙌🏼 Tomorrow is FRIDAY! 💕💕💕
Today was big. If you've been following me awhile (thank you 😁), you know this past year has been crazy. Last fall/winter I was killing my training heading into R-n-R Arizona mid January. 3 weeks out I got sick. Long story, I essentially contracted a virus that lead to my body attacking and killing all of my platelets. Yes, all. After a while in the hospital and months of ongoing treatment I got healthy. I spent the summer with family, enjoying life! Today I signed up for the Mesa- PHX Marathon this coming February. Look out 26.2, I coming for you again! Who wants to run Mesa-PHX with me?

I believe my pain threshold has risen this week or maybe it feels good to match my physical pain to my emotional pain. Either way it was a great work out and much needed. 6 x 4 min hill intervals at 180 to 187 By: @merejune
When you feel like your to-do list is a million miles long, but know your sanity and self love is worth more, you work out. Also, I bought this @kbethoscaps hat off of amazon. It’s distressed and has a hole for my high pony sisters. Get one, you won’t regret it. Best $13 ever. I have linked it in my bio! Check it out!
♥️ Dinner out at one of my favourites, with one of my favourites.
🌽 Who says you can’t eat delicious food and lose weight at the same time? As of this morning, I’m just a teeny 0.2 of a lb off losing a total 12lbs. I chose wisely tonight, planned in advice, stuck to my plan and succeeded.
🍗 I had the cajun chicken yakitori stick, which had chorizo, onions and peppers on the skewer too, with mushrooms, corn on the cob and a sweet and sour glaze. I’ve eaten today today factor this in but still had plenty of nutritious food and not felt hungry.
🌟 Feeling very good about myself and my progress at the minute. Now if anyone would like to stop this rain ASAP before Saturday, that’d be great, thanks.
#realtalk Today, I wore my “home” jacket to work today 🤦🏻♀️ You know what I’m taking about - the clothes you change into right when you get home. They’re comfy, a little worn out, and don’t particularly look the best, but you’re just at home, so who cares? Yeah, well, I wore that to work today!
Didn’t realize it ‘til I reached the office and wondered to myself, did I just come to work in my pjs?! 🙈
With so much on my mind lately, I was a bit absent-minded this morning, rushing out the door. It’s a juggling act to balance a full-time career and my pursuits in running. Both are extremely important to me. I’ve been focusing more lately on work projects, clients, and our huge annual conference next week, and on the other hand, preparing for the San Jose Rock n Roll half marathon, my first real race in 2 years.
I’m human and I can only do so much. Glad I still have enough sanity left over to laugh at myself, even when I’m tired, sleepy, and wearing a jacket with toothpaste stains! 😜

Isn’t this exactly what running is about...
“Great run with this lovely lady this morning. Thanks to my run buddy @crossfit_stitcher for keeping me going! And to our awesome cheer squad!”
We're so glad you and your friend had a fab time at the Sandy Point Half Prue!
La seule chose que je peux faire c'est de relaxer avant mon 10e marathon. Quand je ne cours pas...je me sens comme un pépé. L'idée aussi de se blesser aux côtes une semaine avant le marathon 😳
Just one week before my 10th marathon. I have to relax before sunday because i'm injured
Iowa you sure have beautiful running paths!!!!! The Jordan Creek Trail is gorgeous, felt very safe and was filled with friendly Iowans saying, “Good Morning!” Temps hit 90 today and I’m loving it 🤗 Will be back in the 60s/70s when I return to Boston. My stomach/gut finally felt okay running today, so that was a major win 👏🏻 -A #morningrun#midwest#trailrunning

Heavily drugged up and accompanied by Kingsley, I had a surprisingly good little run.
5 morning miles plus Burn BootCamp today!!!
So I’ve mentioned before that I’m a very “Go Big or Go Home” type of girl when it comes to running. I don’t know what it is about running that I’m just so committed to it. Probably all the money spent on races and travel and anxiety relief. I enjoy it! Yes...sometimes I don’t want to roll out of bed to go for a morning run (I’m not a morning person) but I do end up getting it done whether it’s in the early hours of the day, a daytime run with the stroller, my treadmill or in the evening. I find a way to squeeze it in. I am a mom, I have kids that need me throughout the night and morning hours but I also need to rest. Napping is the second hobby that I’m committed to as well. .
When it comes to picking which races I want to do, I try to find those that challenge me and the fun ones of course! Usually it’s those that when I sign up Im extremely excited about but immediately regret doing so. .
I get a lot of “why would you put yourself through that?” I’m really not sure exactly why😂 I like the adventure it takes me on, trying new things, different terrain and training plans, and seeing how much more I can push myself mentally, physically and emotionally. It’s keeps the running interesting. .
Recently a few guys from our local run club decided they wanted to try it out, one had done it again this year. It sells out rather quickly from what i hear. He posted if anyone wanted to try it out next year in hopes of getting a bunch of us to run it together. I didn’t even have to think about it. So once registration opens up, I am hoping that I can get a slot or at least on the waitlist. I’m getting excited already. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 #summerrunning#morningrun#newchallenges#barkleyfallclassic#lazaruslake
