Who’s down to play a little game of 2 truths and a lie? I’m going to list out 3 facts and let’s see if you can guess the lie 😜.
1. I used to be an au pair while I lived in Ireland and I didn’t drink a single Guinness while I was there.
2. My first year playing softball I won an award for “most walked bases”. I was scared of the ball and was a pro at making it look like the pitcher was always trying to hit me.
3. I have my black belt in karate which is probably why I’ve always felt like a little badass while travelling the world solo.
Let’s see how well ya know me 😏. Send me some quirky truths about you my way so I can get to know you a little better!

Our perspective, mindset, beliefs & experiences all affect how we see the world. What is beautiful to me, might not be beautiful to you, and that's OK. It doesn't make me right & you wrong, or you right and me wrong. It just is. Isn't that beautiful?!?! 🔥 Tag someone who needs to see this. #empowerment#mindset#personaldevelopment#inspiration#perspective
We always have a choice in how we respond to life; we are either practicing fear or love. Create the habit of choosing optimism. Notice how you may gravitate towards fear and notice how useless that energy has been over the years. Without awareness we will continue making the same mistakes; the moment we raise our consciousness is the moment we begin to heal. If we practice well and really observe our thoughts/emotions without judgment, we will make tremendous progress in this life. The more we understand ourselves the better able we will be to generate consistent positivity. 🙂❤️🙏🙌🧘♂️🌹
Fear is so comfortable.
We know what haunts us.
It's so easy to fall asleep.
To go back to old habits.
It's comfort that confines.
Through my recovery I have learned to embrace that which makes me shake.
To stay awake and alert.
To be alive and thriving in my skin.
Some days I crave release.
A release that numbs.
Days in which I flew.
Untouchable and unbreakable.
Until I broke.
The current took me.
I had nothing to hold onto.
Alone spiraling into self loathing.
It took years.
Years of rage, screaming, loving.
All of it.
I felt every part.
That's when I knew.
I'd rather shake in my discomfort.
Then live an illusion.
I much prefer to feel my pain.
Then to numb my strength.
Alive in this skin.
Forever in your love.
When @lizzieskeletonn and I visited the @catfe_vancouver back in September, there was a woman and her little boy in the café with us. She told us that she was terrified of cats and dogs because a number of bad experiences she had in her childhood, but that she wanted to raise her child to be different and ‘not like her.’ So she bravely came in that day to face her fears so her son could watch her and learn.
Watching her interact with the cats and encourage her son was one of the sweetest things. ‘Small’ acts of bravery can create a domino effect. Don’t underestimate your power and how your actions may also inspire a stranger ✨💕

For many of us, we lose what it means to be who we love and want to be. As a child, we embody new experiences and embrace opportunities. We are continuously learning something new, but somewhere along the line we forgot that element of exploration and fall on a stage where society feels the right to judge every aspect of who we are. Slowly, parts of who we are start to get chipped away and reconstructed according to the way society feels is appropriate. We become more and more distant from who we believe and wish to be. Without realizing that we can actually walk off that stage. We can make a choice. A choice to leave all of that behind, a choice to leave that insensitive behavior behind. However, the crippling fear of being the only one to walk off that stage is an unfortunate reassurance that many of us rather stand with than stand alone for a good cause.
We live in an illusion that represents “perfection”. We lose the importance of creating simple acts out of kindness. A smile can go a long way. Helping someone who needs that help without waiting for them to say so. Being there for one another as long as the respect remains mutual. Taking a second to allow yourself to understand who you are. It’s ok to change, in fact it’s a beautiful thing. Love yourself for your potential, let your beauty be determined by that fire inside that supports acceptance, love, empathy, and harmony. Everyday is a new day. A new self. Allow yourself to regenerate into a new state of mind. It’s ok to change. It’s ok to be your true self. 🧠💛
