Tried my my kicks #hokaoneone Arahi which are by far most comfortable shoes I’ve tried to date. Excellent arch support and highly recommend this.
My first run today in 7 days and naturally was a crappy one but I’m glad to get back out there. My calf felt great today but didn’t want to overdo it but luckily I’ve got an appt with the running coach/coach tm and I hope its the first day for a great running career.

Packet Secured! Can’t wait to run in tomorrow’s @maratonespr Boxing World Tour 5k race in Caguas! I feel pretty strong and ready to run hard! I have a personal goal time in mind but I’m keeping that goal close to my chest and will share it tomorrow wether I hit it or not. I’m so excited about this one! Its crazy how this race just so happened to be happening during my vacation down here. Running with hundreds of fellow Puerto Rican’s here in the motherland along with my wife in an event this huge is a dream come true! Myself and my boy have been under the weather all week long, had to make up some loss time due to illness and injury with a #run and #calisthenics session
TEN MILES TODAY 🤗 Feeling super proud of this run! I’ve been in a running funk and haven’t gotten out for a good long run in a while, and was excited but nervous for today. I only planned on doing 8 miles, because my last long run was 7, and I had backed down on mileage. Today’s run was not easy, but for some reason I decided to keep it going to 8.5 miles, then 9, then 9.5 and finally just went for the 10! My legs felt like lead but also jelly the whole time, I wasn’t really feelin’ my music, but I pushed through and I loved it. Plus, the ideal BGs really helped 😉💯 This photo of my is not the prettiest but I feel strong and proud in it! ❤️ Starting to feel more ready for the @nycmarathon now - I’d love for you to donate to my fundraising page for @beyondtype1 to help me run the marathon! How about $10 for the 10 miles I ran today, or 26 for the 26.2 I’ll be running in November? A cool morning in July feels somehow wrong. 🌳
Some more miles this morn, 6 to be exact, and everything felt a little surreal, mostly due to the absurd coolness and abundant cloud coverage. The whole vibe screamed fall, despite being a few months ahead of the occasion. 🍂
The photo I took is seemingly just another of me running, but it’s a perfect example of exactly how I want to feel during a run, and the exact outfit I prefer to wear. The beauty of running is its minimalism.
All you need to have a great run is a pair of shoes and shorts. That’s it. I don’t need to deal with a gym full of equipment, people and noise. I’ve never liked working out with other people, and running is my “me time”. Sometimes I’ll link up with a friend for a run, but generally I hoof it solo — and that’s the best part.
There is no better time to shove your negative thoughts, feelings, anxieties and worries out than when your endorphins are firing, your breathing is heavy, and you’re dripping sweat. Leave it all out there. That’s what I do, and it always helps.
