Summer is an exciting season filled with beach trips and other outdoor activities, but the summer heat can also be harsh to our hair. Thanks to Head and Shoulders, we can all #KeepACoolHead all summer long like actress Chie Filomeno (@chiefilomeno), athlete Nico Bolzico (@nicobolzico), traveler An Estrada (@tracianne) and more. 💁🏻♀️💆🏻♀️ #HeadAndShouldersPH

So yesterday I got victimized by the king of pranks, @nicobolzico 😂 But all good guys! Didn't hurt at all and since it's summer time and really hot, it was a perfect moment to #KeepACoolHead (literally) with all that water and #HeadAndShouldersph! 😅 Currently planning my revenge though, suggestions??? 🐢😈

I took a quick dip in the pool today to relax. I made sure I take Head & Shoulders Cool Menthol with me, so I can #KeepACoolHead and stay dandruff and itch free. #HeadandShouldersPH

I don’t ever back down from a challenge, so here you go @janinamanipol!! It was just so hot today and I decided that my best friend @michaelmacalos needed some cooling down!!! 🤣 Thank you so much besh for being able to #KeepACoolHead!! (Sorry about your phone too ✌🏻😅) I think I would love to see @kiannady do this! Plus, I know @ronnybrouwers and @kattvaldez will be be totally down for this as well!! #HeadandShouldersPH
Should I post a longer (vlog-type) version on IGTV of this prank? 😏
Props to @chelsocampoo my lil sis for the sneaky shots! She’s my camera girl 😆
Head & Shoulders' recent launch definitely brought the summer to the city! Glad to have the summer variants back so that I can #KeepACoolHead and enjoy the sunny outdoors as much as I can. The easiest hack to staying fresh? Using Head & Shoulders Apple Fresh, Lemon Fresh, and Cool Menthol! Try it out, and have 100% dandruff and itch-free. #HeadAndShouldersPH 🍏🍋🍃
Guess what? I have a YouTube channel. There’s not much up there right now, and I don’t know exactly what will go up there, but the peoples have been saying, “you should have a YouTube channel,” so now I do. Check it out, or not. Whatever. I’ll still love you. Enter ‘jeremy hinshaw’ into the search-em-up bar. #youtube#alaska#keepacoolhead#teamheadsweats#frozen#dadlife#adventure
First attempt at a run post-marathon taken inside because of the air quality (swipe right - there is a mountain range only five miles from where this photo was taken - you can’t see it). Run turned into a short walk when my lungs and head told me to call it.
Crossing my fingers for fire containment soon. And sending thoughts and available funds to help those who have lost more than just a couple of days of running.
This week I’ve been stepping out of my comfort zone and really pushing the weights. Hit another PR today on my bench press - 155lbs! So pumped as I never imagined I could lift such weight before. Definitely looking forward to my lean bulk season and really putting on some muscle mass and strength 💪🏽🏃🏽♀️
Love Mondays! And today was no exception - hit 205lbs on my squat today and it felt great! Love seeing the daily AND weekly gains 💪🏽 Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Make yourself proud whatever you do ♥️
Recently I had someone ask me why am I drastically changing my body? What is my end goal? So it got me thinking ...
When I first began “getting fit” four years ago it was to lose the baby weight from my first child. I saw the greatest loss with running and it quickly became a passion. To push my self faster and further with each run. Before I knew it I had 12 half marathons under my belt, Double DipSea and Runners World Hat Trick completed as well as a Ragnar and dozens of 5Ks, 10Ks and 15Ks and 10 milers.
I wasn’t big into weightlifting and I only did the bare minimum to keep from getting injured with my running. Reaching my peak I decided a Marathon was my next realistic step and (being competitive) a Sub 4hr was in my sights. I registered for CIM of this year and in July looked to begin training.
But then life through me a curve ball. Overnight I went from a healthy, fit mother of 2 to a woman who nearly lost her life to blood clots. I found myself in a wheelchair and unable to walk for 3 weeks. My left leg also atrophied very quickly. After a month I received the green light from my Dr to begin exercising again but running became so difficult. The medication I was placed on made my legs so heavy, running ended up being more of a burden than a blessing. CIM training was out and I needed to find a new outlet.
So I turned to weights. I began doing progressive overload on all of my main lifts. I cut my running back from 35+miles a week to no more than 15 miles and I started a lean cut. The gains I made and saw in just 3-4 months was astonishing. At the suggestion of my husband I signed up for my first Spartan race. I was hooked! .
Physically I realized I loved the look of muscle on my body. Although basically the same weight as I was pre-clots, my body is drastically different in every way and I couldn’t be happier or prouder. Everyday I love pushing myself harder and further with the weights and my body’s abilities. .
Life circumstances changed my goals but I truly think this is what I was meant to do. OCRs are my passion now and I have my eye on competing in a fitness competition in a years time. .
So find your passion because your goals may change ♥️
I decided to run across this suspension footbridge again today. It still gives me such anxiety, which motivated me to pick up the pace a little so that's totally a win in my book.
Another win? Seeing geese and ducks hanging out together in the water. Or rather, the geese watching the ducks bathe with total judgement in their eyes.
Release the Kraken 😎 I took this photo 1 week before my epic race & I think it’s the most bad ass photo I’ve ever taken 📸
Thanks @annarachphotography .
I wish I could say I felt the PB coming or that Ive been faithful to my training, but the reality is that life is much harder than it used to be. I’ve been beating myself up lately over my lack of running but My progress has proved there are many different routes to a PB!
Every runner is different and all of us are equally awesome and we all find our own ways to the finish line...
How many times as a kid did someone tell you to “take a deep breath” - if you are like me, a lot.
Breathing is essential to life and yet so much of the time we don’t breathe deeply. A couple years ago I did the @iceman_hof method course, documenting the journey.
Above the cold training and pushups the greatest gift after the course was a renewed focus on breathing and deep breaths.
Yet years later it’s so easy to forget. These days when stress levels are high or I have too much on my mind, I head out into nature and breathe.
Whether it’s getting my heart pounding on a run or slowing it down and focusing on deep breaths. It’s a simple and free self care technique that pays you back 10x.
When was the last time you truly took a deep breath?
Another great fall weekend in the books! Saturday morning kicked off with a torrential downpour and joining @trgennaro for a couple loops up and down the auto road at Wachusett Mountain in prep for TNF 50. Soaked to the bone but so worth it! From there I headed to Fort Devens for Massachusetts’ Middle School Cross Country State Championships, where I cheered on and supported my athletes in their races. I recently started working with Needham’s Middle School XC team, and I’ve had a blast coaching the kids these past several weeks, and seeing the smiles and satisfaction on their faces as they finished Saturday’s race to cap off an amazing season. Crazy to think that not too long ago this is where I fell in love with the sport, and I’ve found it really fulfilling to give back and share my passion with the next generation of young runners! (Pic with my friend’s @moodypiehl speedy son - so great seeing you two! 😊)
Sunday I joined the Natick Runner crew for some early morning miles on the beautiful Holliston Rail Trail and then followed our run up with another easy hour through the crisp fall leaves on the Bay Colony Rail Trail here in Needham. I hope you all had fantastic weekends wherever you adventured, near or far!
