I mean, I know you guys dig quinoa and avocado as much as I do but I never knew we were thaaaat many in the *pretend* Mexican food (because obv quinoa isn’t Mexican and yellow corn isn’t either) love camp! 💕 .
You are just amazing! I’m so happy we speak the same language because you all know English isn’t my forte. .
I speak “food”. “Healthy food” to be specific and my dialects range from Mexican over Peruvian to Instant Pot, Special Diets and Meal Prep.

2 salmon fillets, skinnless, approx 5-6 ounces each
1/2 medium pineapple, halved and sliced thin
2 Tbsps unrefined coconut oil, or clarified butter (ghee)
2 Tbsps raw honey
2 large fresh garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsps fresh lemon juice
a small bunch of fresh parsley leaves, chopped
sea salt and pepper, to taste
a small red chili, minced, or a sprinkle of dried red chili flakes ---- Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees f.
In a small saucepan, melt the oil/butter over low heat. Add honey, garlic, parsley, lemon and a pinch of sea salt. Whisk until well combined, the set aside.
Cut 2 sheets of 14-inch length foil.
Divide pineapple slices among the sheets layering them in the center.
Place salmon fillets on top of the pineapple, and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce. Sprinkle with sea salt, pepper, and red chilies.
Pull the sides of foil inward to close the package, then roll the edges up. Try to leave a little room for the heat to circulate at the top, then seal well.
Transfer the packets to a flat, rimmed baking sheet and bake in the 400 degree f. preheated oven about 12-15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
Bake time depends on thickness of your fillets.

Whole Peach Pies 🍑⠀
8 small peaches⠀
2 pre-made pie crusts⠀
1 beaten egg, for egg wash⠀
1/2 cup water⠀
1/2 cup sugar⠀
Pink food coloring⠀
Yellow food coloring⠀
1 cup caster (super-fine) sugar⠀
Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil. Stone the peaches using an apple corer, then add them to the boiling water. Blanch them for 3 minutes, then transfer to a bowl of ice water and gently rub off the skins.⠀
When the peaches have cooled, cut four large triangles from the pie crusts and position a peach on each one. Put two toffees into the core of each peach, then seal the pastry around it using egg wash on the seams. Place in fridge to chill for 30 minutes.⠀
Preheat the oven to 390 degrees. Bake the pies for 30 minutes, then let them cool slightly while you make the simple syrup. ⠀
In a saucepan, add the water and sugar. Stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar has dissolved, then let it come to a boil before taking off the heat and dividing between 2 small mixing bowls. Color one of the bowls yellow and the other one pink. Put the caster sugar into another bowl.⠀
Dip the baked pies in the yellow color on one side and pink on the other, then put them straight into the caster sugar and spoon the sugar over them. Place on a serving plate and decorate with mint leaves before serving.⠀

So you think losing 5 lbs of body fat isn’t that big of deal? Think again. When you lose body fat you’re going to lose it as a total percentage over you’re entire body. Not just from one area. So you might not realize the difference. This 5lbs isn’t just going to magically poof off into thin air exactly where you want it from. It takes time, patience and consistency to physically see the results you want. (Start being realistic with yourself)
5-10lbs of body fat off your body would make a huge difference. Imagine carrying around a 5lb weight with you everyday day for a month then finally letting it go. Same concept. Okay so with October soon approaching, and us trying to figure out what our game plan is to loose our winter weight, we wanted to share this post with you ✖️
90% of the time we’re NOT in sync when it comes to healthy eating, so if you’re in the same boat as us, or want to help your stubborn partner to be healthier, we have made a list below of what we’re going to try implement ✖️
1️⃣Do it together - so we’re talking about chatting about our menu for the upcoming week, grocery shopping, snack research and then the daily check ins to find out how the other one is doing
2️⃣Meal prep - this goes without saying and is probably the most important
3️⃣Start slowly, replacing and cooking old recipes in a healthier way
4️⃣Ask for each other’s input - remember you’re a team
5️⃣ Aim for progress - were going to be realistic by not completely changing everything up over night, but by getting into a training routine of exercising 3 times a week again, and making healthier food choices, we feel that’s a good start! ✖️
Growing plants now, so my kids can have a forest later. This species of plant and I go way back! Years ago I adopted a gigantic office peace Lillie and took great care of it. One thing I noticed is the plant DOES NOT like to be under watered at all. Some days I'd forget and the plant seriously looked dead. I'd cry while watering it feeling like an awful plant mum and ten minutes later the plant would be revived and looked healthier than ever! What I've learned from this plant is that This plant is really good at telling you how it feels. The leaves say everything from I need more light to that's too much water right now... very easy to read the signs. I love this plant and the way he responds to my care. If your looking for an air purifying plant, this is your guy. If you travel a lot, this plant will NOT be suitable for your house. (Unless you hire someone to care for your plants, which I've done twice for the Peace flower. ) Anyway, the Lilly on the right is waiting to be transplanted, I just wanted to do everything at different times for these two plants so I can see and experiment with how he adapts to certain things. And you can clearly see the plant on the left is more limp and not as perky. This is because the roots have more room to spread out and they are moving into their new dirt. What happens on the bottom happens on the top! .
