Duuude this movie look so fucking rad! I was born in the 80's but I would say the 90's were the most awesomest shit I remember in my childhood memories. I remember recording blank cassette tapes off the radio on my boombox and making personal little mixtapes then slap'em on my walkman all day. Being Polynesian in the hood during that time you were either playing sports, in gangs, selling drugs, or in jail. There was really nothing else. Personally I did the sports thing cause it just came natural to me. I tried to skateboard with the rest of my skater homies and "SNAP!" my board snapped in half attempting a simple Ollie. Unfortunately my first board was my last lol. It sucked cause I grew up and was a big fan of Chad Muska and before DGK Shorty's was the squad. I guess too much Big Mac's thanks to MJ in "Space Jam" the scene where he's scarfing down a fucking Big Mac "I was like yooo no more Happy Meals for me, mom let me get that number 1" lol....I still did things Polynesian kids normally didn't do like listening to alternative, and Wu-Tang which was not that popular out here in The West Coast cause of the whole West Coast / East Coast beef but to my surprise Wu-Tang still got a lot of love and praise out here in The West which was really dope. I personally love that fact that they always incorporate martial art and asian phyisology into there music. Overall that era had a lot of dope MC's. It was really survival of the fittest and your pen had to be sharp cause if it didn't your head will get dicapated. Professional athlete's were like super hero's, and some were even like GOD figures...*cough,cough* like OJ for example lol I remember debating in my 5th grade class and our teacher had us write in our daily journals on what we think of the case and we had to pick if he is guilty or innocent. You know what I picked lol. When they said he was innocent I was seriously Harlem Shaking like everyone outside of that courthouse that day lol...fuck it like Chappelle said "Who doesn't have a pair of bloody gloves? Shit I gotta pair myself" Lol

THE PRACTICE INSIDER
OVERCOMING PREJUDICES — Classical music is regularly an elitist following with deep-embedded prejudices, mantras, maxims, and value systems. Many of these become so ingrained that to merely question them can completely shred your credibility in the eyes of the musical occult.
Intonation is practically the quest for the Holy Grail with string players. Those who've got it don't really know how they got there only to preach practicing your scales. Those without it practice their scales and remain both frustrated and determined to dig in their heels. As someone with a deep musical background prior to coming into learning the violin, I've done so on individual views of my own many would feel fly in the face of skilled classical training.
The ear is actually extremely adaptable. The well-tempered, 12-tone chromatic scale of Western music is human invention. We as musicians train our ears to hear it. But just as we work to train ourselves to accurately hear it, we can train ourselves to inaccurately hear it. The more a player plays a scale degree inaccurately, the more their inner ear trains itself to hear the incorrect note as correct. With a fretless stringed instrument, it is also easy for left hand weaknesses to embed themselves in the ear as learned tuning and deficient intervalic relationships.
My solution is to comb through my intervals and scale degrees (do, re, mi, etc.) with an electric keyboard. You can feed deep-rooted prejudices by scoffing all you like at how feeble it sounds to use assistance, but with focused study, I have found that, in doing so, you can isolate the exact deficiencies in your intonation built into your inner hearing along with left hand inaccuracies. As frustrating as this correctional process can be at times, I am extremely pleased with the results all the way from the beginning of my study to now. The decision's yours.
