  • Aquela vontade louca de correr lá fora masssssss hoje não rolou. Dormi até mais tarde. O dia tava quente demais. Resolvi ir pra piscina antes e fiz meu treino na esteira. Eram 21k mas eu vi que o garmin tava roubando ao meu favor. No final eram 1,800 metros a menos então eu arredondei pra 23k e fechei sem culpa. Corri vendo a maratona de NY de 2015. Bom que já vou me entrosando com o percurso. Ansiosa aqui pelo longo da semana que vem. Serão 30k. Os únicos e o mais longo deste ciclo. Ansiosa e me sentindo bem. Fui na nutri ontem. Tudo ok. Só manter e já começar a testar a alimentação da semana da prova. Começando a visualizar esta maratona que será incrível independente do resultado. Não vejo a hora de curtir essa festa!!

Last week I pushed a few kms in race pace, but I need to save that for Tuesdays, Thursdays and RACE DAY! . 3 glorious weeks to go #melbmara! Is it too early to carb load? 😜 @melbmara

  • the long run that (almost) broke me 😪. . this. run. sucked. i had such high hopes for it, but i was brought back to reality real quick 😔. . mile 3, i stepped off the curb wrong & twisted my ankle & my knee. i let out a yelp, followed by a curse word, & started to cry (all while forgetting to pause my garmin 😠). it was so painful, i wasn’t sure if i should/ could keep going. i stretched it a bit, & decided to take it easy but keep on going. . mile 7, i stopped to go to the bathroom, & my @simplehydrationbottle fell off the counter & the lid shattered (this is the second time it’s happened to me & i was so. mad.) i started to cry, again, & wanted to quit so badly. but i didn’t. i was lucky to be two blocks away from a 7/11, so i was able to stop & buy a water bottle. i then had to figure out how to run with 1/2 of my simple bottle, & the plastic one, which was so difficult. . at this point, between stopping for my ankle, to go to the bathroom, then 7/11, i had completely lost my groove. i had 11 miles left, & high key considered calling an uber (or my momma). i was so angry about my water bottle breaking, i decided that no matter what i was at least going to finish what i set out to do. . i stopped. a lot. it was hard running with two water bottles, my ankle hurt, & i was beyond discouraged. every time i stopped i wanted to cry, but i knew i couldn’t spare the liquid from my body 😂. i promised myself when i got home i could let it all out, & you bet i sobbed on my porch the second i got home. . having such an awful long run two weeks in a row is SO discouraging. i’ve been working my ass off since april for this marathon, & i expected more from myself by now. i have to keep reminding myself this is my FIRST marathon training cycle, & i’ve NEVER run these distances before. it’s hard not to beat myself up about it, but i’m so lucky to have such a great support system that always builds me back up when i’m feeling down 💛. . 18 miles (longest run ever) 3:07:36 || pace 10:25 #sammrunsnyc ✨🤪

Pas trop fan des @racepack_fr, surtout quand on a une moquette dégueu, mais cela à au moins le mérite de me mettre les idées au clair avant la course, de penser à tout, mais surtout de me faire réaliser que c'est demain 😱😱, car pour l'instant j'avais juste l'impression d'être en vacances 😅. . Pour ce Racepack 👚👖 vous trouverez : 🔹un t-shirt Nike acheté à l'arrache ce matin au village de la course, j'avais pris mon débardeur habituel de course, mais face aux températures frisquette ❄, avoir des manches me rassurent, même si c'est sûrement psychologique 😅. 🔹un legging de compression @skinssportswear K-promium, lui aussi m'a coûté un smic, mais il a fait ses preuves marathon après marathon, et je l'aime d'amour 💕. 🔹les baskets Nike Zoom Élite 9, légères, peu d'amorti, bcp d'accroche, conçu pour les 10km, mais j'suis bien avec, alors faut pas se poser de questions 🤷‍♀️. 🔹une brassière histoire de, au vu de mon absence de poitrine, c'est juste pr la déco 😅. 🔹 des gels decat, pas testé non plus sur sortie longue mais j'ai la chance d'avoir un estomac à tt épreuve 👍, et comme je hais le goût des gels autant prendre les moins chers ! 🔹iPod + écouteurs @aftershokz 💸💸, à savoir, au UK 🇬🇧, sur course officielle, il est interdit par mesure de sécurité d'avoir les oreilles occupées par de la musique 🎶, il faut pouvoir entendre les bruits ext. Ceux là fonctionnent par conduction osseuse et sont les seuls autorisés ici. Souvent, je n'écoute pas de musique sur marathon, ms bon, j'ai qd même craqué au cas où 😅. 🔹Et comme d'hab, des kleenex, jamais je ne me moucherai en soufflant fort comme les bonshommes, c'est mon côté princesse encore 👸. . En tout cas merci mille fois pour tt vos petits messages, certes je suis seule ici avec ma famille 👵🏻🧓🏻, mais tt ces ptits messages c'est plein de petits lièvres 🐰🐰 qui viennent avec moi 💗. Pas bcp eu le temps de vous répondre, j'essaie de profiter au max de cette escapade 😉. Et merci pour vos prières pour la météo 🌧, il ne devrait pas faire si moche demain 🙏🤗 ! Bon courage à tt ceux qui épingleront un dossard demain 😉.

I didn't plan on beating 35 minutes because it was hot (do you see how gross I look in this photo 😂), but I did it anyway! Woop woop! Now to plan a cooler weather race in the fall!
