Time is right...distance is NOT. I’d say close to 5.5 miles. GPS went a little wonky during mile 2. That being said...I did my first 5+ mile run this morning and it felt AMAZING. I don’t get into my groove until about mile 2.5 and I had to tell myself that I would run no more than 6 ( I do NOT want to get hurt! ). I will get back to a 10k under 1 hour though. It’s a goal! #womenthatrun#irunthisbody#nyrr#morningrun#nycrunner#running#centralpark
The goldfish cracker has been bringing smiles to the American palate since 1958. At 60 years-young, the little orange carp has never wavered its smile. The smile, with its hint of sly cunning, has remained steadfast even through the great debate of 2018 that labeled it officially a cracker, not a cookie (Supreme Court Docket #789, Pepperidge vs Instagram). Some may argue, by virtue of its smile being baked into solid form, that it essentially has had botox treatments. Others say that the goldfish is essentially a pushover in the pool of other snacks because its smile would make you think that it just agrees to everything. Kind of like the way how nobody cared about Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story. Buzz Lightyear always threw shade...ok this is getting off track. Rumor has it that the Levain cookie was created by runners, for runners as a post-long run refuel. Whether or not that is true is up for discussion. What is certainly indisputable is the heft of this leviathan. Hold it in your hand and it feels like a solid piece of gold ingot. Try to eat the whole thing and you start to question whether if it is a cookie or if it is actually some hybrid of a scone. Interestingly, it is this heft, this expanse of flour real estate, that allows taste magic to happen. The crisp is there, the soft inside is there, and the abundance of molten chocolate chips are there. There are also walnuts, but as with most sweets with nuts, it is highly recommended that they be picked out and donated to squirrels. That brings us back to the point of food identity. After a fast 15 miles over three bridges, you will not care if it is cracker or cookie, cookie or scone. 8.1/10 📸 @jwilliexd 🍪 @levainbakery
🚨 Attention 🚨:
I am NOT training for the @nycmarathon this year! I 👏🏻 am 👏🏻 training 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 life 👏🏻!!
With all of the running I’ve been doing lately, I’ve been getting loads of questions and confusion about the NYC marathon this year. I just started running a few years ago and with a HUGE thanks to the @bravebodyproject Run Club I officially have 3 half marathons under my belt!! I’m happy to say that I’m finally feeling confident with this whole running thing!
I want to continuously keep a solid 10K under my belt in case I want to run another half marathon or a zombie apocalypse 🧟♀️ happens. The marathon? Maybe next year...Maybe in 10 years, but for now I’m just super proud of my running journey and I am so extremely excited to hoot, holler, and cheer on all of the amazing runners for the marathon this year! I’ll see you all on the sidelines on Nov. 4th and on the streets before and after that! If you’re running the NYC Marathon this year, let me know! I’ll be ready to cheer your name when you pass by!

JUST DO IT! (Link in my bio). #WeGetFit#NYCMarathon#RihanaRuns
I’m gonna be real - I didn’t have a good week. It happens, and there wasn’t anything catastrophic that went down, but it sucked. 😫⠀⠀
So this morning I let myself sleep in. Got up when I felt like it, which I hardly ever do. I stepped outside and felt like the heaviness lifted (from both the air and my mind), and went for a long run that my head needed way more than my body. ⠀⠀
I never like the phrase “running is my therapy”, because only therapy is therapy, but I can’t stress enough how important it is to find the thing that centers you when everything else seems like chaos. That’s running, for me - and I’m always so so grateful. 💙
