#PEPEFIT - Me desafiei no início de Julho que eu correria 5K todo dia! Aqui estou na metade do mês, correndo todo dia! Tô postando no Stories todos os dias usando a hashtag #pepefit só pra me comprometer a correr mesmo, sem desculpa. Afinal, passar vergonha em público é pior! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Até agora tenho conseguido ótimos resultados, menos 2kg, aumentei resistência, tô correndo em menos tempo, disposição no dia a dia! Só tive 3 dias que não pude correr por conta de trabalho, o resto tamo aí!

Estamos indo toda Segunda e Quarta pro Parque do Ibirapuera correr e chegar na meta de 10K. Hoje foi quase, culpa do Daher que não rolou.

Took the bump out for a little run in the sun this morning. We ran 8 miles for the first time since May! 🙌🏼
Both of my pregnancies I’ve been surprised at how quickly I seemingly lost motivation for running far or fast. Even this time around when my first trimester was so mild from a morning sickness perspective I would rather choose to sleep in and get to spend some time with henri and liv in the morning’s than to be out pounding the pavement for an hour+ every day. I still love getting out to run 5-6 days per weeks but there’s no pressure to hit a certain pace or distance and if it didn’t feel good I wouldn’t do it.
It’s ok to take the pressure off of ourselves every once in awhile! Whether I take a break between seasons just because or the break is to grow a human it’s so crucial in my opinion to take a step back from the grind every once in awhile. I certainly have goals for my postpartum running but for now all I can do to set myself up for a great return is keep myself healthy both physically and mentally. So that’s what I’m going to chose to focus on.

5 easy miles that felt easier than any of the miles yesterday (so that’s good!)
I am happy to celebrate my 1 year IG-versary! It was actually last week, but I just realized it! I thought this was a good time to reflect on why I started this account and my purpose for it moving forward.
Why I started this account in July of 2017 (being completely transparent):
▶️ I was coming off of a year of hamstring and lower back injuries and hadn’t raced in a year and felt like giving up. I had a friend recommended that I start an IG account to get motivated again and to follow other runners (which I’d never done before).
▶️I thought that logging my daily runs would help me to get excited again about running and would be a good way to track progress (as I never kept track on anything else).
▶️I heard that some IGers got free running products (I had no idea how to get them, but thought it sounded like a good deal!)
Why I love this forum and why I’ll continue this account:
▶️The people that I’ve met on here- I mean seriously, runners are the best!! I am inspired daily by all of you! I’ve met some of you at races and other places and have formed some amazing relationships just by messages as well!
▶️The accountability really has helped. When I feel like not going for a run, I do it anyway because I want to help inspire others to get out there too! Also I see work that you are all doing and it helps me get my lazy butt out of bed!
▶️ I 💜talking running and I’ve exhausted running conversations with everyone else in my vicinity. I love that all of you love to talk running!!
▶️I have found some cool running products out there, but definitely am not doing this for the free stuff at this point (most things I turn down- like the kegel exercise machine and the butt wipes 😂).
There ya have it! SO glad I found this community of people who share in my love of running and who continually build one another up! 💜💜

Could have easily slept later and skipped it
But honestly a few extra minutes of sleep won’t give me energy. But exercise will and did!

Today I did 3 miles on elliptical and 1 on the treadmill and combat 58.

My first 5k in almost a run. The motivation has not existed recently but I’ve signed up for a couple of events and I’m forcing myself back out there. Plus I just joined a gym with my bestie so it’s all about the fitness! Today was hot and hilly so I’m not too upset about that time.
