Noch 11 Wochen bis zum @koelnmarathon! Heute hab ich mal was ganz anderes gemacht: 20 km über Stock und Stein im Wald mit tollen Freunden in der Heimat laufen. Dafür bin ich extra früh aufgestanden und habe für An- und Abreise 50 km in die Pedale getreten. Hat sich gelohnt! So kann der Urlaub beginnen. 👌
NEW PB! Absolutely shocked about that. Really cured with 74seconds cut off my official time. It was way too warm to expect a PB, the heat was super tough but it was a nice view across the whole route. Feel like this is proof that a flat course is much easier [17m elevation gain over 13miles!]
On busy days at work, I am so grateful for meal prep. I am stressed and want something sweet. Enters this healthy, sweet snack. This snack was a lifesaver.

That runners high is real! My first race in two years after my knee injury and I finished at 1:03:47 .. less than one minute shy of my 10K PR 😁😁 I wasn’t even sure if I was ready. But I guess you can never be ready for anything, until you do it.

As I mentioned in my stories yesterday, the whole “motivation” thing is overrated. We either know why we are committed to putting in the work, or are failing to make the emotional connection with focusing on why we need to make the switch. .
Lord knows I am not a runner. I’d rather stick to my weights personally. But I also know the importance of incorporating both and that I must be willing to embrace the challenge if I truly want to see & feel the best results. .
So whatever excuses you allowing to hold you back, I encourage you to focus on the why power in what makes you want to do better!? Because you deserve the very best & no excuse is worth robbing you of achieving that!
