12 miles 🎉 This included a 6 mile warm up 😂 (complete with 2 water breaks before mile 5) and then finally the legs woke up and got with the program! The remaining 6 miles felt great. 🙌🏼 Here we come Chicago!

I never heard of this until I told a couple runners I know that I was going to train to run a half marathon in three months. They asked me how many miles could I run at that time. I told them that I couldn't run, I can only walk half a mile. They asked me how long does that take. I responded with, "I can only walk half a mile in 30 minutes..." They both looked at me and told me three months is plenty of time to train, however, the toughest challenge is the mental component of running. They both mentioned that running that long is really only hard because we make it hard and at times aren't mentally prepared. I had no idea what they meant... Until now. I will be running 10 miles this weekend. I have never done that before. I did 9.5 miles last weekend, which I never thought I could do... But I did. I have learned so much about myself while training to do my first half marathon. In less than one month I will face my goal. After this weekend, I will need to get mentally prepared... Which I have found is tough. While running there have been so many times I wanted to quit. I wanted to call my mom to pick me up and just quit. But I can't, I can't quit. I have to fight myself every step I take. The biggest battle so far has been telling myself that I can do this. That I can move past my health issues and move on. Had a day off yesterday and back on it this morning. It’s quite cold! Hurts your lungs to breath cold! Never the less we get it done!
Kali ini mau kenalan sama pak Kopda Yohanes Hiariej dari Jember.
Pertama kali kenalan sama Free Step dari Lintas Sumbawa tahun 2017.
Waktu itu beliau pakai seri Tokyo, tapi karena kesehatan kurang prima jadi tidak bisa melanjutkan race tersebut.
Tapi Pak Yohanes ga berhenti di situ, beliau rajin ikut ultra marathon dan trail running juga.
Pak Yohanes juga salah satu pelari andalan Free Step, sepatu-sepatu Free Step dites juga di trail maupun road.
