A few pics from our #safari in #Udawalawe#udawalawenationalpark#srilanka
Definitely the high point on our trip so far, seeing so many creatures in their natural habitat, almost to the point of wondering if we should be in a vehicle with a little bit more of a barrier😂. The elephants seemed to keep to themselves but that didn’t stop the drivers from pushing their boundaries to get us closer. #jurrasicpark
This will be the last of the #elephant series for now. They were amazing. Of all the animals they displayed the most curiosity. The predators were ambivalent. The smaller prey cautiously watched. But the elephants were actively engaging. Such a special experience that I will not soon forget. So, for the time being here is an elephant waving goodbye 🐘👋
Chitwan National Park - The wide range of vegetation types in the Park is haunt of more than 700 species of wildlife and a not yet fully surveyed number of butterfly, moth and insect species. Apart from king cobra and rock python, 17 other species of snakes, starred tortoise and monitor lizards occur. #chitwan#safari#nationalpark#nepal#rhino#explorer#wildlife
Coming from South Africa we see a lot of this bullshit first hand ~ tourists pay millions to kill rhinos for fun 🖕🏼seriously, find a new activity to give you a boner, I heard sewing or cricket is epic too.
One powerful man in China is also orchestrating these networks of poachers across the globe for the Asian market. They pay pennies to the locals to poach. The prey on peoples desperateness to feed their suffering families. It’s a viscously corrupt cycle that’s forces the starving to barely survive locally while reselling to the greedy for millions overseas.
I would like my grandkids to know these majestic and beautifully ancient creatures just like I did growing up. These poachers don’t just take the horns they brutally murder the entire rhino and leave it to rot.
Respect mother earth and protect our precious wildlife, they work symbiotically !!! It’s not rocket science.
Please share, it’s time to wake up. This selfishness is getting old and their horns won’t cure anything. Keep protesting until those knobs get taken down. It’s unacceptable.
