Our week in Sydney was spent supporting team GB Wheelchair Rugby. They played with spirit, nerve and determination; coming fourth in the world championships. Unfortunately due to budget cuts their future is uncertain #saveGBWR , a small donation could help them get to Tokyo 2020. Support this amazing team. They deserve a chance to shine in the next Paralympic Games.
DAY 365 🎉🎉🎉 well here we finally are, day 365 🤗 I haven’t been out running yet as I’m off to #parkrun later this morning. But I just thought I’d take this time to look back over the year. And oh boy what a year it’s been (scroll through to see my year of running in picture form ⚠️ Disclaimer the bloodied knee may make an appearance 😂) ....
I started this crazy journey to help raise money for Team GB wheelchair rugby🇬🇧the challenge was to run 5k a day everyday for a year. Well I’ve smashed that, averaging 6 miles a day, over 40 miles a week and over 2,300 miles 🏃🏻♀️ (not including today’s miles that are to come) my initial target was to raise £1,500, thanks to you lovely lot I hit that within the first few months so I upped it to £2,500. Again your support and generosity saw me hit that target too within 6 months. £3,650 was the next target and yet again you guys were amazing and so far I’ve raised over £4,500 which will massively help the team. So a huge thank you from myself and Team GBWR 💖💟👏🏻😊.....
My year has been filled with ups and downs. It has seen me set new 1mile, 5k, 10k, half marathon PBs and complete my first ultra marathon. It also saw me having to get up at silly o’clock some mornings to fit my run in, I’ve ran through all weathers including the Beast from the East which was insane. It also saw me fall and split my knee open resulting in 9 stitches and not being able to run for 18day. A massive thank you to friends family and the insta running community for stepping up and keeping my challenge alive. Literally would not be writing these words today without you 💕 the recovery from that injury was tough. The whole year has been one interesting crazy and often challenging ride but I have loved every second of and would do it all again in a heartbeat 😁
