  • ”I just felt like running.” • That’s what I truly see when I look at this picture. Some days we have a purpose — whether it be your training for a race🏃🏻‍♀️or burning off the excess Holiday calories😜 But then there are days where you just run because you felt like it. Those days are the best 🙌🏼 It is almost like the world has just stopped, and nobody can tell you what to do👌🏼 • Why do you run? Do you run for a purpose? For fun? Or a little bit of both? Personally; I am running for a purpose but I am having fun along this crazy journey and am excited to see what it brings😁 • • • • • •

  • Steady state run (1 mile w/u with 5 miles at 9:45 - 10:00 pace) and core work. It felt great holding the faster pace for longer!🏃🏽‍♀️💪🏼 . Almost got hit by a car this evening, the car actually had to swerve to avoid hitting me. And I was in the daylight w/ reflective gear and on the gravel. Not even running on the road. Adrenaline pumping for sure! I'll blame that on my mile 3 being off pace 🙅🏽 Stay safe out there my fellow runners. . #runpnw #runspokane #motherrunner #run4prs #speedwork

  • Ya'll. Crimes of Grindewald comes out tonight. ⚡⚡ I may have to wait until Wednesday to see it though, which is utterly tragic. . On to running, I was expecting this workout to kick my butt since I'm in no shape for speedwork. But I felt good during each repeat, and my legs weren't dead until I was halfway into the 300' climb back to my house during my cooldown. 🤷‍♀️ . 3 miles up 12x 200 (5:25-6:03) 1 minute walking recovery 3 miles down . 8.41 miles, 1:09:07, 8:13/mile

  • Sometimes you just gotta do it from HOME 🏠 to fit it in. As most of you know, I always try to incorporate multiple body parts into my workouts! I also always do some sort of HIIT to get my heart rate high! This workout emphasizes shoulders and back, but there are always some legs thrown in the mix! 🤗❤️ ENJOY!!!. .. SET 1 1.) Lateral lunge fly 2.) Push-Up renegade row 3.) Lateral raise 4.) Log jump lunge SET 2 1.) Rev. lunge bent arm raise 2.) Broad jump press rotation 3.) Sumo cross jab 4.) High pulls TURBO move: Heisman * * Set your timers ⏱ ! Do each move 60 sec. REPEAT at 50 sec. REPEAT last set for 40 sec. TURBO move is always 1 min! Also.... my Romeo loved making this with me! His jump rope skills and push ups are amazing! ❤️❤️

  • The finisher to Matty Brandt’s session last week... This man is one of the most talented enthusiasts I know, with plenty of natural ability, rhythm, power and a bizarre aptitude for the Philly Shell. Matt has been working incredibly hard outside of the gym, studying for his Masters and significant travel for work, so his training has suffered understandably of late... However, a new year is approaching and the @sydneyfightleague Charity Contender is in the works for the start of it... So in 2019 Matt Brandt is shedding the timber and we are going to get him into the best shape of his life... If he’s committed, I’m convinced I can get him down to 75-80kg by June. Only thing left for him to do, is to get on board. #notimelikethepresent

  • FULL DISCLOSURE: I cannot tell you how long it’s been since I’ve ran a mile under 12 mins. YEARS for sure. Between injury setbacks, inconsistent training and just plain life, I lost my speed and am just now happily getting it back. I’ve always been one for distance — long and slow. But now it’s time to crank it up 😉 #strongissexy #fitfam #running #sheruns #womenwhorun #runner #treadmillworkout #speedwork

  • 🏃I'm excited to be teaming up with @Biofreeze to bring you a detailed yet easy to follow 'how-to' guide, all about speed training on trailandkale.com (Link in profile) - #sponsored #biofreeze ⠀ ⠀ ⚡Speedwork is one of those 'necessary evils' when it comes to improving overall speed and strength but I know it can be hard to know where to begin with so many variations available. I have written an article which simplifies the process and gives you a clear and concise process to getting started with your first speed session.⠀ ⠀ 💪🏻When you run fast your muscles are put through a much wider range of motion. Training this way will, in time improve your flexibility. It also hits more muscles, leading to a better overall balance of strength. A strong runner should also have better form and with good form comes fewer injuries. 🤗⠀ ⠀ 👉🏻🤔On the flip-side, you’re likely to pick up a few muscle strains when you start your journey to becoming a stronger runner. It happens to everyone so don’t be disheartened. Just make sure you recover properly by eating well, stretching before and after your runs, foam rolling. 👍🏻Using a temporary pain reliever, like Biofreeze as soon as you feel a strain, really helps. It provides pain relief for long enough to be able to recover pain free, think of it as your secret weapon for getting the most out of training. This will improve your motivation to get right back out there and jump into your next training session.⠀ ⠀ 📸Scroll through to see some pics of me pushing the pace during this weekend's speedwork.⠀ ⠀ 🎥I've also added a video showing how easy it is to quickly spray Biofreeze directly onto a muscle strain when it happens.⠀ ⠀ #speedwork #speedtraining #track #trackday #tracktuesday #tracknation #trackandfield #intervaltraining #beatyesterday #sprints #trailandkale #runninginspiration #marathontraining #runstagram #runnersbody #nevernotrunning #runmotivation #runningmotivation #runtheworld #runnerslife #irunthisbody #trailrunner #Trailrun #ultrarunning #runhappy #runtoinspire #janji #onrunning

  • We're gonna have a chilly long run this Saturday just in time for our longest run of training. 15 miles. Some people might ask why I take them that high for a half marathon and the answer is, they are looking for PRs.. Most people fall apart at that distance somewhere around mile 10-11 because they max out at 10 miles in training. Usually ITBand pain kicks in and leaves them hobbling the last 5k. They haven't developed the proper strength or endurance to keep proper form. It's usually not cardiovascular limitations, it's almost always form and fatigue. Not these guys.. they are going to be kicking it into high gear at mile 9 and picking off the other runners one by one! #FirstInFall #halfmarathon #running #racing #endurance #fitness #run #personalrecord #track #speedwork #coaching #secretweapon
