Who do you think determines your reputation? Is it you? Is it your friends or family? Is it your followers on social media? And beyond that, do you think your reputation is the same across all of those groups of people? •
We are so incredibly clouded by false reputation in this world. On both ends. Not only by How quick we are to label others, or how we think we know who someone is because we follow them on Instagram or we met them once. But also in how we perceive ourselves or should I say how we display ourselves. It’s too easy- and you know what is most sad in all of this? So many of us don’t even know we are ourselves, and we depend on the world to tell us- we depend on society to give us our reputation- and you know what else? we come up empty- every time. •
So here’s what I’ll say. Your reputation is gold. I just heard this and i love it, “your reputation is based on relationship and repetition.” (-Steven Furtick) Those two things should hold the most value in how you see your life. It’s not to look good or to display yourself as perfect, because that’s a false sense of identity- but it is to create relationships that withstand storms and fire- With other people and within yourself- being accountable and dependable. I don’t know about you guys but I don’t want to be known as perfect, because I’m far from it. I do want to be known as consistent, and persistent. If I fall on my face, I want people to know I’ll get back up over and over again. If I make a mistake and hurt someone, I want people to know I will say sorry and I’ll say it over and over again. If I fail, I want people to know I will try again and over and over and over again, until I get it right. And not just for myself but for the relationships and the people in my life. That is a reputation I will stand on. •
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, quiet consistency will change so much about your life. You’ll love deeper, you’ll value more, and you’ll create a foundation of your life that is strong enough to withstand. 👊🏼

“🚫Crash dieting 🚫 = Learned Helplessness”
A trend I see frequently in the fitness IG world is crash dieting (losing weight at an unsustainable rate for an event all to face a potential rebound)
The main problem with this is, when you diet you slow your metabolism. When you crash diet you slow your metabolism rapidly. Since a crash diet is usually UNSUSTAINABLE this sets the individual up for failure and a big old REBOUND (major indulgence in ALL the food since you’ve been restricting heavily, I’ve been there sadly 🙃) Since your metabolism is so slow from being in a deficit (restricting calories), it will not utilize all the extra fuel as efficiently since it hasn’t been consuming this new surplus of food. All this results in fast weight gain which is a 👎🏽. The goal with a diet is to make something a lifestyle. If you take slow changes over time and build a good set of dietary habits you will never have to crash diet, risk your health, and risk potentially rebounding.
Be patient, make small changes, find a proper coach, and change your lifestyle for the better!

Day 79!! Cardio core is in the books!!! Tomorrow is day 80! Whoop whoop! I know I took way longer than what the program was designed to be but that doesn’t change the pride I feel in finishing this! I struggle with being embarrassed if I don’t meet with societal guidelines on how a person should accomplish goals but you know what? That’s ridiculous right?! SMITH MACHINE SQUATS
If you’re not quite confident in getting under a barbell just yet to do your squats, the smith machine might be good to start with to build some strength and confidence. You’ll find more stability here, and you’ll probably be able to lift quite a bit more than you would on a free bar. You can do it without a spot with no fear that you’re going to get flattened by the bar (set the safety guard so that it’ll be impossible to get stuck). So you don’t need to skip your squats!
It also allows you to target specific muscles by adjusting your foot placing and the smith will help with the movement, enabling you to keep your balance which you may lose on a barbell squat. Here, you can see me with a wide, normal and close stance - so hitting the hamstrings, glutes and quads.
Try with no load, look at your form, depth and focus on engaging the muscle you want to be working. Build the weight up from there and then maybe see how you feel with a barbell.
And if the gym is heaving with every piece of equipment taken, you could get a good workout in on just this machine - squats, lunges, split squats, shoulder press, chest press, bent over row, upright row..

We are always told to do our Kegels…SQUEEZE relax SQUEEZE relax, but what you not told is that TECHNIQUE is everything!! 😬😐😬😐 .
Just like weight lifting, 🏋️♀️correct form and technique is so important to prevent injuries (such as lower back pain) and to activate the intended muscle. 💪 .
Randomly just squeezing and relaxing could cause trick movements in the buttocks, abdomen and thigh muscles, leaving the pelvic floor untapped. .
It helps to use visual cues like “stopping a wee or wind” to LOCATE and train the pelvic floor effectively. 🧘♀️ 👄Speak to a Women’s health physiotherapist if you feel any pain with Kegels or if you unsure of your technique. .
Kegels are important, but when done incorrectly, it can completely defeat the purpose.
Once you own it all, that’s all you know. knows the worth of her time, invests in herself, knows to not depend on someone or someone’s love, knows to be alone and takes care of her solitude. Doesn’t let anyone define her worth or have someone to have worth. Only time she looks back is to remind herself how far she’s gotten and no one can touch that.
