Great photo shoot for the V2 today! Got to hangout with @mrgocrazy80 and get some 🔥 shots in KC. Thanks @saulnunez_13 for suffering in some chilly weather to take pics.
I think it’s easy for people who are trying to grow a small business or a brand to overlook the impact of meeting new people. Many don’t take enough opportunities to go out of their way to make a new relationship with someone. Luckily, I’d consider myself a people person and love making new relationships. But I think the value of reaching out to others with something to offer and creating collaborations is far greater in the long term than just having a great product or service. If anything, today made me extremely excited to get established in the Kansas City area after I graduate and continue to network with like-minded people. Have a great weekend🙏🏽
For all the parents and athletes, especially those that are headed to their Junior and Senior year. Please do your due diligence and don’t wait for a program to help your student athlete to get a scholarship or in to school. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know @coachbyrd_eat from @eat7on7 and he has all athletes best interest at heart. Please go to the link in this post or go to our sponsors link @underrecruited to post a profile and get more valuable information about the recruiting process. #recruiting#undertheradar#underrecruited#studentathlete#scholarship#ncaa

I saw a post by a friend today talking about successful people advocate sleeping less. He was excited about sleeping only 4.5 hours so he had time to take care of every priority. .
There’s one big problem with this advice...he’s a college student-athlete. He needs both mental AND physical peak performance and sleep deprivation impairs both of these. .
Athletes who sleep more (10-12 hours a night) have better sprint times, hit better shots, and noted more alertness, better mood and performance. .
Sleep is when we commit new skills to memory and information converts into memory. Deep sleep is when growth hormone dumps into our bloodstream to repair muscles, build bones and burn fat. A hard, heavy workout at the gym to bulk up needs quality and quantity of sleep to repair and rebuild the muscles to gain the benefits from the work. Recovery time is where the gains are made from your workouts.
SLEEP = RECOVERY!!
Sleep less and your body will have less glycogen (energy) for endurance exercise. Your reaction times will be slowed, concentration will be lower, immune system function will be lower, irritability will be higher, and accuracy will be lower. All of this combined also increases risk for injury with athletic activities.
So if you want to be a better person, better athlete, or a better student in academics or in life, the key to success is sleep!
Always happy to travel to campus locations that mean the most to you 😍 #studentathlete

“Cross Country is only a team sport, none of this is individual, they don’t ever talk about individual placings. A lot of them said how hard the race was today, and I said, ‘Where did you go when it got hard?’ And they said ‘each other.’"
- Coach Mike Smith(NAU) This season these ladies embodied just that. In my first year coaching the Women's Cross Country team, I learned a great deal about continuing to lead a group even when adversity hits when you least expect it. This group of young women did not back down, but instead rose to the occasion and ran for each other and never looked back!
A runner up finish at the SCC Championships with 5 All-Conference honors, a runner up finish at SoCal Championships, with two All Regional honors, and a 4th place team finish at the State Championships(by 2 points) with two All-Americans! Fantastic season with these ladies. Looking forward to Track and Field season!
Hear about the challenging but exciting life of a #studentathlete from Richard Carthon! He’s a dual sport athlete from Tulane University who values focus, discipline, production, integrity, and teamwork in being an athlete. Watch the whole video on our facebook page fb.com/sportsyncltd
”My body language and demeanor on court seems to be my one and only critique, but what they don’t know is that my love for the game runs in my veins so forgive me while I don’t smile or display gestures, I’m just thinking about how the next move can be a better move...that’s what’s it’s all about , building, critically thinking, strategizing, pushing thru, and not stoping until it’s truly over and even then more work is to be done...but that’s just me thinking and desiring to be great so for now I’ll carry that critique because it’s only making me wiser and desiring to push harder...” #getbetter#playharder#workharder#ballislife@rnssportsnc#basketball#ilovethisgame#studentathlete
Yesterday I had the honor of sitting on the “all-star panel” at the 3rd Oregon Girls Sports Leadership Summit. Nearly 400 female student-athletes from all over the state of Oregon came together with a goal in mind: “Leadership comes in many forms. Find what it means to you and be that authentic leader." Thank you to organizer and Athletic Director Missy Smith and to all of the volunteers at Oregon Episcopal School. Also, a HUGE shout out to sponsors #adidas and #arnerichmassena for helping us develop tomorrow's leaders, today.

We LOVE a sweaty lax workout💦
Also PSA there’s officially a #lacrosseemoji 🥍🥍🥍‼️‼️
Last week was a great week in terms of staying on track with my goals. I was super busy with school, which seems to make me more productive because I have less downtime. Between studying, homework, and working out, we had a lot of #grind time💪🏼
This is from Friday’s wall-ball workout, (explained in my previous lax workout video!) which was followed by some 100’s out on the track☀️🏃🏽♀️

Heyyyy party people, it’s #friYAY🎉
#Realtalk, I deleted Instagram for the past few days. Wanted to take time to focus on school and make the most of my experiences here in Malaysia. Since deleting my most used social media apps, my daily screen time has decreased! Highly recommend disconnecting📲🙌🏼
ALSO just a reminder that you are strong, valuable, and capable of SO much, never forget it! As humans we constantly want to improve and better ourselves, and that’s ok! But it’s important to make sure that you are setting these goals for yourself, not to please anyone else. You are beautiful inside and out, don’t let anyone tell you different (especially yourself)💛💪🏼
I #challenge you to give someone a compliment today on something OTHER than their physical appearance!!! I promise it’ll make their day!👍🏼👍🏼
