  • Everyone starts somewhere 😍 I often sit back and remember that when I first started going to the gym 💪 I believed that cutting out 100% of my carbs 🍚 and fats 🧀 would equal a lean physique, but it took me several years to realise that I was starving my body 😥 which led me to change my diet 😃 I've also started using weight machines and dumbbells properly and tracked the macros 😀 then I really noticed results. Since I incorporated weight training 💪 and tracking macros 📒 my life transformed 🙆

  • I’m so excited to step on stage at the @wbff_official Santa Monica show on October 13th! That date will also mark 103 weeks so just under 2 years after my thyroid cancer surgery which was another pivotal moment in my life. . Back when I was over 420 pounds I NEVER would have dreamt that I would do anything like this. . I was headed to an early grave and battling my own demons as well as high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, ulcers, heart problems and many other obesity-related conditions. . Now I am so grateful for having my health in order and pushing my body to levels I hadn’t ever considered getting to in the past. . If I can turn my health and life around and do things I never thought were possible, you can too! This is why sharing my story is so powerful and exciting for me. .   • This here ❤️ I think of all the things I’ve missed out on for fear of going backwards. Fitness gave me back my life and ruined it all at the same time. There were darker times and more self hate then the reasons that I started in the first place. I’ve come out on the other side and for that I’m thankful. People say you can’t out train a “bad” diet. It’s the “bad” that’s up for debate. I train my ass off and I once believed that bad meant anything not exactly within the “macros” or those evil foods. Bad is 100% of your diet being unhealthy....bad is not those donuts on a Sunday at the Apple Orchard( god those are the best), bad isn’t a few beers at camp, bad isn’t that Godiva cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory occasionally, bad isn’t an icecream at the icecream stand while you’re out shopping with your Momma, bad isn’t chocolate chips dipped in peanut butter because you just feel like it....these are all treats I enjoyed this month all while still making progress with my goals. . . . . . . . . #push #train #bestself #transformyourmind #bodybuilding #transformforlife #ashletes #gains #growth #fitgirl #fitness #transform #biking #gym #fitness #progress #goals #youvsyou #strong #active #change #mindset #motivateyourself #monolith

  • Ok, this is gonna piss some of you off but then again, sometimes the truth hurts. . You have no idea how many people I've watched over the years just going through the motions. A lot of people that think they are "working hard", eating enough, drinking enough water, etc. Sorry, but no...no you are not! . If you really want to put on mass, you need to do MORE!!! . ✔ EAT MORE: calculate your maintenance calories, then add 500 to start out with. Bump up protein. . ✔MORE VOLUME: chances are if you're not putting on mass, you're not doing enough volume....bump that shit up! . ✔ MORE SLEEP: I'm as guilty as anyone with this one. Aim for at least 7-8 hours per night. Sleep is arguably the most anabolic thing you can do and aids tremendously in recovery. . ✔ MORE WATER: aim for at least a gallon to two gallons per day. . ✔MORE DOING: I've said it a million times, if there is a secret to this at all...its consistency! This is the true key to success. Do everything above consistently and you WILL see positive changes in your physique.

Did a full body type workout with some deadlifts, pendlay rows, front squats, overhead presses, bench, and a sprinkling of some arm stuff just to feel a bit more juicy again lol

  • 😼From day one of “the change” “transformation” “journey” or WHATEVER we call it these days...I immediately felt the benefits of it all. Like the way I would wake up and not feel sick and nauseous or how I couldn’t get to the top of my apartment stairs without taking a stop for breath halfway through. ☠️ Part of the fear of getting groceries was because I knew I was the one who had to take them up. No thankyou! Fast food won. So did the couch. Change isn’t easy. No one really says it is and if they do they’re lying. This shit is hard!!! 🗣 Yea, it was easy for me at FIRST! Because the pounds flew off. My happiness was coming from a void I had never known! -confidence was the cure. Until it wasn’t anymore. My weight became stagnant. My effort became minimal. I was comfortable. I was pushing myself in every direction EXCEPT forward. Well, no more guys. I’m so over feeling sorry for myself. I can’t celebrate my hard work and reverse it at the same time! 🤷🏻‍♀️ How stupid would that be. PERMISSION to check me, guys! I just got a 6 month free membership to an intense gym that will step up my fitness. Business with meal preps is better than ever. I was able to quit my full time job to dedicate more to to what I love- COOKING! 👩‍🍳 And now you’ll all be here to see it. Thank you for that. Seriously! Without your eyes I wouldn’t feel nearly as valued. That part of me is trying to change but I’m sure some of you can agree sometimes. Me being honest. Anyway! 💜 Here’s a little comparison of my smile. Face to face about 2 years. Crazy!!!
