  • Village girl from Pune. She sat at the table next to me, and I was immediately drawn to handpoked tattoos on her forearm. Despite being crudely done, there was a real charm to them, and somehow made perfect sense on her. . She was kind enough to allow me to photograph her, without expecting anything in return, so I ended up offering to buy lunch for her and her friends, and made my merry way to Bandra. . • In this picture of Longsheng Rice Terraces you can see one of China's main sources of economic power. You may think that we're talking about the enormous rice fields, but we're actually referring to the cable car. This is probably the 430th cable car that we've seen in this country (no exaggeration). There are cable cars at the cities, cable cars at the mountains, cable cars connecting cities to mountains, cable cars at the lakes and the list goes on and on. If any given place has the slightest elevation, the Chinese will not hesitate on building a cable car. Then, they charge your weight in gold to sell you a ticket and just take advantage of the fact that 90% of the tourists that go to their parks are not interested on taking 5 hours to climb 5.000 steps in order to spend 10 minutes looking at a nice view. The Chinese economy may be slowing down, but as long as they keep their cable cars working we're pretty sure they will be fine.
