Cut back my miles significantly this week and getting out there this morning was PERFECTION! Honestly running just makes my heart so happy!
My bff flew in from Korea and we had such a great time on the trails this morning. Enjoyed pretty views, good conversation and some running and walking!💙
Have an awesome weekend guys and best of luck to all you racing! Go crush your goals!!!

Running is always better with friends💕 Temps were already pushing 80° and humidity was at 98% at 5am, plus we were all so sore from our workouts this week, so we got off to a rough start. But our goal was to keep this easy (9:30-9:45) which we did for the first 10. I fueled and refilled my water and attempted the last 4 at MGP, which I only hit for 2, but I'll take it! All in all a solid run and a great week of training. Now it's family time and a much needed rest day tomorrow. Happy Saturday everyone!
When you have 2 runners in the family sometimes it makes things a bit tricky, BUT it’s also so much fun! 🙌
Wes is 10ish weeks away from his big race in Chicago. That means that his training is picking up and with the summer temps he needs more help to get it done.
🏆 Today’s goal workout for him: 21 miles @ 97% of goal marathon pace 🤞
I knew in order to help him and get my long run in I’d need to get creative! So, I got up at 5:45 am and put hubby on morning baby duty 👶🏻.
1️⃣ Run #1: 7 mile progression on the treadmill (9:15-7:25)
2️⃣ Run #2: 6 miles with the stroller while also handing off water to Wes.
TOTAL SATURDAY MILEAGE - 13 🎉
It’s not always perfect and sometimes we have to tag team to make it all work but I truly wouldn’t have it any other way! 💗
Took advantage of the cool weather and made it a good one👌🏻
This week’s audiobook is @grantcardone ‘s “Be Obsessed or Be Average”... good stuff, I recommend it runfam! At least to you crazies like me out there. #boba
RSD 1,333: today’s rain was just what I needed. A little work, a lotta lazy, and a mile to keep the streak intact at the end. I’m not yet feeling better everyday, but I can say that I am feeling better today.
With taper week upon us, our focus shifts to coming into race day feeling as good as possible as possible. We use several different methods for recovery after long runs, such as eating within 30 minutes of finishing (typically plant protein), foam rolling, walking (active recovery), and recently these @oofos sandals. They have been super nice and comfortable to wear after changing out of our running shoes.
What are some of your methods? Anyone else use these? #izzoultrarunning

Not my fastest pace, but one of my more satisfying runs this year. First, my long runs are increasing, and my foot feels fantastic! Not an issue at all. Yay. Second, this run started out tough. While my legs felt great (I got cupping done last night), I was overall super tired. Due to evening commitments, It was my fifth day in a row of having to get up between 4 and 4:30 am to get my workouts done. The first half was definitely a struggle, but once my body woke up, it ended up a progressive run with my fastest miles at mile 11 and 12! Paces: 9:27, 9:03, 8:51, 9:01, 9:00, 8:58, 8:56, 8:44, 8:41, 8:33, 8:13, 8:17. Felt good to grind this one out. 🏃🏾♀️🌱 #run#vegan#nuunlife#beatyesterday#igrunners#runhappy
Running on vacation is always interesting. On one hand I wanna get my runs in, but on the other hand I don’t want to be a party pooper!! I’ve learned not to expect too much from “vacation runs” and just get what I can!! On that note, today’s run went surprisingly well!!! Got my eye on a sub 20 5k this summer!! What are your summer running goals??
TELY 10🏃🏼♀️🎉GOAL: Survive. 2nd GOAL: PB🏅It’s supposed to be pretty warm tomorrow so if I don’t get that PB I won’t be upset. I’m mostly looking forward to the atmosphere, smiles, fun & running with friends!☺️💕
Ran the MEC Trail Race 3 with @amyredpocket this morning and completed the course with an unofficial time of 1:04:17🏃🏁✔ A nice 12K route with moderate hills. Found myself running a little too fast at the beginning, so I slowed down to an easier steady pace and maintained it throughout the race and gave it a little kick for a strong finish. Overall I'm happy with my performance today. 😀 Congrats to @amyredpocket for an amazing result! 💪
First run since the British 10K last weekend. Turns out that rogue water bottle I accidentally rolled my ankle onto during the race caused a fair bit of damage - I've been hobbling about with an ankle support on all week. Tested it out with a gentle, late evening run and it felt great to be out running again, but will need to be careful as I am clearly very injury prone 🙄 On the up side, I got to wear my new t-shirt! 🤗
