There’s a wide variety of gluten-free options when it comes to pasta. One tasty and fun option is lentil pasta! And once you’ve got your pasta, make sure you have a delicious sauce like @sproutingzeneats has here!
How does this sound? Creamy sun-dried tomato garlic sauce, topped with red onion, avocado, homemade “Parmesan” and basil powder.
Yeah? Yeah. YEAH! 😋😋😋

Do you guys ever do ‘fridge clean out’ meals that end up being the best? I’m laying low tonight because I have to be up early to appraise all day for the Aurora History Museum. 👉🏻 the seasoning on this entire plate is “Everything But The Bagel” from Trader Joe’s and it’s the BEST! #septemberwhole30#grainfree#grainfreeliving
My breakfast plans for tomorrow morning . Along with some avo toast. This has become our little Sunday morning breakfast tradition : choc raspberry peanut butter smoothie bowls topped with peanut butter granola and some extra drizzle of @mayversfood dark roasted peanut butter . Too much peanut butter?? 🤷🏽♀️ the recipe for both the smoothie and granola are on my blog . Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! 💛
Happy first day of Fall 🍃🍂🍁Apple crisp is always a favourite of mine this time of year! I added protein powder to the crumble for an extra protein boost! Here is the recipe⬇️
•6 medium gala apples, peeled, cored and chopped
•½ lemon freshly squeezed (about 2 Tbsp. juice)
•1 tsp cinnamon
•1 cup large flake oats
•¼ cup oat flour
•¼ cup @LeanFitBrand Vanilla Whey protein powder
•½ cup coconut sugar
•1 tsp cinnamon
•½ tsp nutmeg
•¼ cup coconut oil, soft
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Peel, core and chop apples and place in large mixing bowl, add fresh lemon and cinnamon, mix together until combined and set aside. Stir together all crisp ingredients except coconut oil until well combined. Add coconut oil to dry ingredients and mix together using your hands until all clumps are gone. In 8x8 glass baking dish pour apple mixture in and top with the crisp mixture, spread equally over apples and press down gently (I covered mine with foil while baking). Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes in preheated oven until edges are crisp and bubbling. Let cool slightly and serve with greek yogurt or ice cream if desired. 🍎🍏

🍎 A P P L E S 🍎 This kid LOVES apples. When I was pregnant with him, I ate an apple every day as a snack. I could. not. go. without. After he was born, I didn’t feel the need to have an apple anymore, and back then, I wasn’t on a healing path (oh how I wish I knew of MM back then). Once he was just about one, he grabbed for an apple on the counter when I was holding him. I gave it to him and he bit in and started making this sound like it was the best thing ever! After that, he had one every day. We would stop at the store if he cried in the car and I would run in and grab one, he’d stop crying. It was amazing! He’s 8 years old now and still has not missed a day. We all eat apples every day now, and since the #medicalmedium#applechallenge started, I have been trying to eat 2 or more. My liver thanks me!! I just can’t believe how much my oldest loves apples that he called for one in the womb. Craziest craving that turned into his favorite food, which made us all make them a part of our daily lives. My little Apple Jack!
Check out Why An Apple (or 3) a Day Keeps the Dr. Away!!
“The phytochemicals in apples make them a true brain food, feeding neurons and increasing electrical activity. Apples with red skin contain anthocyanins and even traces of malvidin (a type of anthocyanidin), which are partially responsible for the red color. These pigments have anti-obesity properties and compounds that increase digestive strength, encouraging weight loss. Apples also have traces of flavonoids, rutin, and quercidin—phytochemicals that are responsible for heavy metal and radiation detoxification—as well as the amino acids glutamine and serine, which help detoxify the brain of MSG. This fruit helps cleanse and purify the organs, improve circulation in your lymphatic system, repair damaged skin, and regulate blood sugar.” - Medical Medium
Not Limiting any food groups, although keeping my diet pretty simple and eating clean within IIFYM. YouFoodz is really helping me to stay on track 💜 slowly progressing, dropping weight and increasing strength 💪🏻
Here comes #breastcancerawarenessmonth again.
I shared this post a few months back. Angelina Jolie's oncologist, who didn't learn anything about nutrition in medical school, feels betrayed by her profession. After doing her own research she feels animal products are DEFINITELY the cause of cancer. She switched her whole family to a #lowfat, #wholefood, #vegan lifestyle.
I hope you do to!
Also FYI, muscle comes from hard work, not how much protein from animals you eat. Plants supply ALL the protein you need, then it's up to you to lift heavier and push harder.
Veggies in vases 💕. Did you know I’m also a caterer? We provide beautifully fresh & delicious of course catering for private parties & corporate events.
Presentation is a big thing for me. I’m a strong believer that we eat with our eyes first so I’m always looking for new ways to style our catering. Buffet tables can look so beautiful loaded with vases of purple kale, rainbow chard & herbs.
You can find entertaining tips, recipes & see what we do over @a_cut_above_catering#nutritionistandcaterer#acutabovecatering#acutabovenutrition
In honor of the first day of Oktoberfest in Munich, we have a #Whole30 compliant dinner of German potato salad, bratwurst and asparagus. This warm potato salad with a tangy vinegar dressing is delicious and tasty way to have a warm meal on the first day of fall! I was also happy to find a Whole30 compliant sausage at @wegmans. After two weeks straight of work travel, I’m happy to be home for the next while making my own food!
For all my hard working 💪CrossFit & gym buddies! ...And to all of you athletes out there, if you’ve tracked the CrossFit games, you’ve most likely heard of Nick Urankar. In the most recent games he placed 16th in the entire world. 😳
A friend of mine saw a quick interview of him where he stated he does NOT take vitamin supplements. What does he take every single day? Juice Plus. And what has he noticed? “Juice Plus made a massive difference in my recovery time and noticeably reduced muscle soreness. Bottom line is this is a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, berries, and grains that I would not otherwise be able to eat everyday. It’s made a difference...won’t go a day without it now.” In the interview he mentioned how he even doubled up on capsules daily leading up to the Games. And because it’s just food with an NSF certification, he was able to do so confidently knowing he wasn’t breaking any sort of supplement rules.
Our bodies need 7-13 servings of fruits and vegetables every single day. Athletes need even more! And if we aren’t fueling our bodies properly, they won’t function to their full potential.
Spring equinox 🌱
The vernal equinox marks the start of spring and a time for new beginnings, birth and fresh starts.
Festivals take place all over the world, dating back to ancient times.
I am honouring this day by taking it slowly and planning about goals and wishes for the next season.
The sun is gone for the day and I am diving into some journaling and meditation. .
Please tell me, do you make time for gratitude and plan your life?
I really had a next level breakfast this morning.
I decided to try @tropeaka vegan lean protein because Australia is simply going crazy about them!
I created the topping of my pancake pile just mixing 2 tbs of water with 2 tsp of #tropeaka lean protein.

Bitter foods stimulate the liver to produce bile, which is an important part of optimal digestion! Let's introduce some mediterranean rocket salad as appetiser. I usually have it with some apple or pomegranate with a squeeze of lemon to make the taste approach easier!! Great for my spring detox 💚
Also... do you know that lemon is extremely important in your salad? It helps iron absorption from the green leaves 😄 ask a #naturopath 😉 #naturopathtips
What's your salad like?
