  • “I wanna get toned, but not too like bulky” (ah, cringe) - I’ve been there too. Cardio in the beginning (a lot) and then maybe some light weights after. - But looking toned has to do with having muscle. Which means you need to train to build that muscle... which means that the weights will be importanto. - Having a lower body fat % is what will show that muscle and make it look “toned”. - Don’t be scared of getting bulky. It’s not just going to accidentally happen. In the very best way of course: ~Walkouts ~Bulgarian Split Squats 4 Rounds. 10 reps each per round. That’s 10 per leg for the BSS. Rest 30-40 seconds between rounds. Wanna make the walkouts even more challenging? Add a push up at the end of each one😵 🧠 2nd Superset: ~DB Chest Press ~Single Leg Glute Bridge 4 Rounds. 10 reps each per round. That’s 10 per leg for the bridges. Rest 30-40 seconds between rounds. Wanna make the bridges more challenging? Add a 1/2 rep to each one🔥 👙 And your done “In the Pink.” Did you know that today is National Pink Day? Wear pink clothes. Eat pink food.   • Ever confused about weight loss? - Don’t worry, even people that work IN the fitness industry are too. - And some of them are knowingly taking advantage of your confusion and feelings of helplessness to sell you on nothing but hope — without any intention to help. - Listen please, anyone telling you there’s only one way or strategy is either confused, ignorant or taking advantage of a trend to make more money. - Like, maybe keto or intermittent fasting could help you somehow, but there’s nothing special about these strategies. If they work, it’s because you got the proven principles right — I just think you can get those things right without telling you to skip breakfast or fruits. - But these people aren’t even the worst. Their intentions could actually be great. They may have had great experiences with the strategy they back and truthfully believe it’s the best. It just may not work for you. - The worst are the liars. The people who ignore the truth to sell you something they know won’t work. Supplement industry, infomercial type stuff. People telling “it’s easy just take our product”. - They know you want to believe it, but really, if it worked, we’d all be on it. - They make it cheap enough to buy but you never get anywhere. - Want the truth? - Put total calories in the right place day to day, consistently. - Put protein in the right place day to day, consistently. - Get stronger and workout pretty hard, consistently. - Drink water and eat mostly whole foods, consistently. - And be consistent and patient — consistently. - Make sense? That’s the truth. . .

  • Carb cycling has definitely helped me ❗️ I’ve been watching what I eat and taking into consideration what I’ll be training that day . Lower carbs on days I’m doing more volume work and going for reps with squeeze, and aiming for higher carbs when I’m going for my power lifts ( squat, bench , deadlift ) Had chest today but focused on accessory lifts to help sculpt. Dumbbells cables and wrapped up chest with two machines . Then spent about 20-30 minutes training triceps. Keeping the carbs medium today and felt good power and clean reps . A lot of squeeze and focused on form today ❗️❗️
